The 2 of us went in for lunch at around 3:30 PM, and it was fairly crowded, but we found a table no problem. The service was quick and pleasant, we got our drinks fast, and the food came like 15 minutes later, so not bad. The burger was OK, and the fish cakes great, really fresh and tasty. I got the chunky chips extra, because fish cakes don't come with chips, and I got (I kid you not!!) like 2 pounds of the driest and chunkiest potato blocks, I've never seen anything like that in my whole life! The portion was easily for 4 people, potatoes we fried in oil but so dry I could not swallow them, and it was like Hulk himself cut them into huuuuge pieces. Just weird. Everything else was nice, and the beer (Guinness and Five Lamps) great.

Had lunch here after a visit to Guinness’s. It’s a pretty good spot. Lunch was good, service was quick, food was tasty and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly, chatty and efficient. Will be back sometime in the future.

First stopped here for a quick drink before heading over to Guinness Storehouse. Felt very welcomed even though it was busy. We decided to eat here later on the way back from our tour, it was busy everywhere to say it was only 5pm. Lucky we found a spot as someone was leaving, it was outside, felt very cosy. We wasn’t seen to straight away, waited for about 15 for the server to come over, she was on her own and rushed off her feet. Despite that the food was amazing, fish & chunky chips and lemon & garlic chicken was our choice. Would recommend as it’s the oldest pub in Ireland and it’s very traditional.

Food was hearty and reasonably priced. Atmosphere great as you would expect from an old pub. Plenty of Guinness to go round
