The best Irish music found on our last night. The Irish are so very friendly and we had such a good time. Arrive early for a good seat. The bar tender is the best.

If I were a visitor to the city busting this pub would be vital. The pub was warm, inviting and the staff very friendly. The food was delicious. The portions were not too big but the good was filling. The chowder divine the fish and chips very tasty and the pasta with spinach and chicken a great success. The atmosphere was typically irish and I have to say we enjoyed the whole experience.

We went to The Brazen Head for lunch between Christchurch Cathedral and the Jameson Factory Tour (it was between the two), hoping to avoid the tourist crowds we had read so much about. Our concerns about crowds were seemingly unfounded. We were one of a few tables on a Wednesday at noon, and enjoyed a lovely and leisurely meal of standard pub food (fish and chips, Irish stew, Guinness, etc.). Friendly staff, fairly reasonable, and sizable portions.

If you search for something more similar to the real Irish pub in the city center, this is the place to go. They have a quite atmosphere where you can drink, eat traditional Irish food and talk to people around you. In the evening they have live traditional music. Food was OK, beer was great. You can also go there with kids if it is not too late in the night.
