5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2013

The staff are really friendly and always happy to help. About a 5 minute walk to the main street and sights of Dublin! The free breakfast and wifi was a definite bonus! I recommend it to people of all ages, it's a great place for families, backpackers and anyone visiting Dublin really!

My boyfriend and I stayed in a double private room which was very quaint and nice. It had a private bathroom which was a great bonus! The water pressure in the shower was amazing.

Breakfast, clean linens and luggage storage available.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We appreciated all their help and hospitality very much.

We will definitely be back!

Booked in to stay during a euro trip for myself and my friend, Got to the hostel at well past midnight and they had stuffed up our reservation telling us there was none ( even though we had booked and had proof) and said there was nothing they could do and were EXTREMELY rude and started to argue with me. Finally (as it was so late) they offered us a one night stay in a 25 person share room. We tip toe-d in and had to find our and make our beds in the dark, i have never been so uncomfortable as there was no safety lock for our suitcases.
After no sleep the morning came and whilst still in bed a BRICK was thrown through the window making it shatter over a lot of everybody's luggage! Nothing was done and it just sat there.... bathrooms were disgusting, lift was broken, felt so unsafe.
NEVER. AGAIN.
went to four courts instead.... that's a good hostel!

Room Tip: Don't stay here !

The beds were comfy, the room + linen was clean. The staff were always very friendly and so helpful. The price of the hostel includes a breakfast which was great, and kitchen facilities were also provided which was satisfactory. The location of the hostel could not be better - only a 2 minute walk away from Temple Bar, and just off O'Connell Street! Will definitely visit again next time I'm in Dublin!

Very weel located, with everything we need, except for an oven.
Best included breakfast I've ever had.
Good beds, clean, comfortable and safe.
Very close to the temple bar and a lot of atractions in the city.
Easy (and cheap) to get from the airport (by bus, number 16, drop you at the hostel door)

Booked the ashfield as it was the only "reasonably" prices accommodation in the area. It's basically cheap for a reason, it was grim! I booked into Ashfield house for 4 days, checked out after 2 and booked in the rather expensive but gorgeous trinity capital hotel, could not stay there another night!!! Mattresses were absolutely gross this place is a joke!

Fantastic, friendly and helpful staff. Brilliant breakfast (enough to fill you for the day) consists of boiled egg, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast and several spread options. Kitchen facilities are as expected though there is no oven, plenty of storage is provided for food. Clean rooms all in a perfect location 2 minute walk from Temple Bar. Would recommend the free walking tour to everyone, leaves at 11 or 1, pub crawl also very enjoyable and a good way to experience some of the best live music Dublin has to offer. Had a brilliant time, will return as soon as I can!!!!
