Our Trip to Glendalough and Kilkenny was very nice. The tour guide told us many interesting stories. We would rate it a 5 except there was no mention of bats and the rich Irish history of bat happenings. So it gets a 4. We do recommend this trip. Because we liked it and had fun times.

We went on this tour in the rain, and it was still nice. The Upper and Lower lakes had a mist around it and was still pretty green. The cemetery was cool too. The bus was comfortable, the guide was very informative. - But the highlight was Kilkenny. We had a nice walking tour in Kilkenny with our guide, heard a local signing on the corner (he was AWESOME), and had a great meal at the Kyteler's Inn (ask about the witch).

A full day! But you got to see Glendalough, and spend a few hours in Kilkenny. The wonderful home of Smithwick's. Glendalough was a beautiful site and our guide gave us a great history - all in a fun atmosphere. It is a full day, so be prepared for time in the bus. But, you get to see the countryside of Ireland, the Wicklow Gap and learn where leprechauns come from (and find yourself a fairy tree).

I traveled to Dublin for a long weekend, and took this tour on a Saturday. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed the scenery and the stops at the Kilkenny castle and the Black Abbey. the 10Euro lunch was a bargain. I would definitely recommend this tour to those who like a bit of scenery mixed in with their history. Well worth the price.
