Stayed here a year ago, just never got around to posting here. We were given two nights here for my birthday. What an amazing hotel. Fantastic bar, amazing rooms brilliant staff.
There was even a birthday card and birthday muffin in my room haha.

Would be fantastic to stay there for a concert in the O2 next door.

Would recommend to anyone

It was actually September 2011 we stayed there

Room Tip: Ask for a room up on the mezzanine with views of the city. Very much worth having the area to walk o...

Stayed here for 2 nights, booked trip as a present for my husband's 50th birthday. The Gibson is a perfectly located hotel, Aircoach bus from airport drops you off almost on the doorstep and the O2 arena is adjacent to the hotel. Check in was a breeze, we arrived at 8.30am but knew our room wouldn't be ready, so we left our case and headed straight into the centre on the Luas (tram), which is also on the doorstep of the hotel and took about 15 minutes to reach the centre of Dublin.. Would recommend Guinness Storehouse and Jameson Whiskey Distillery tours, both great value for money and fun. We picked up a leaflet in the hotel which allowed us 10% off the entry price at the Jameson Distillery.
Hotel room was beautiful, spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. Walk in shower in bathroom is amazing. In room there was a fridge and a safe, free of charge, as well as usual tea/coffee making facilities, iron/ironing board, flat screen TV. Buffet style breakfast was very nice, staff very attentive. The reception staff were so friendly, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble.
Overall can't recommend the Gibson highly enough, we can't wait to return in the near future, and wouldn't dream of stopping anywhere else.

The Gibson was a perfect hotel for our break away, although not situated right in city centre, the luas was right outside the door and took just a few minutes to get in. The bar and restaurant were great, and had a lovely atmosphere from concert goers etc as the O2 is just next door. The staff were really helpful and pleasant and the rooms were gorgeous, very clean and tidy and quite luxurious! We had a great time! My only issue although not a big one was having to pay for parking in the hotels underground carpark ... This really should be free for guests, but at €14 per night it wasn't a great rip off for a weekend!

The Gibson was one of three places my friend and I stayed in Ireland during a week-long vacation in January. While the other two were highly lauded 5-star hotels, The Gibson--the most affordable of the three--ended up being our favorite. Why? Because the airport shuttle dropped us off just yards from the hotel; because the receptionist was super-friendly and had a map out within minutes to help us navigate Dublin; because the LUAS stop is literally steps away from the hotel, which provided cheap, fast, safe, and late-night transportation to the city center; because the hotel decor is modern and stylish (bonus points for The Clash album art on the lobby wall); because it's mere feet from 02 Arena; and because the shower--with its rain shower head--was by far the most impressive of the other places we stayed.

A couple things to consider (neither of which marred our stay at all): there's a construction site adjacent to one side of the hotel, so one of your views from the third-floor lobby will be of a vast field of dirt (we actually dug the gritty urban contrast to the sleek hotel); and the beds are really firm with thin, firm pillows (but the rooms are super-clean and comfortable and we slept well regardless).

If I ever venture to Dublin again, I'll definitely be staying at The Gibson. Having never been to Ireland with no idea what to expect, I was blown away on Day 1 by the convenience and look of the hotel...it definitely set the tone for the rest of the vacation. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for 3 days from 13th-15th Feb with my husband and 19 month old and we thought it was fantastic! First stop from the airport on the bus which is great with a restless 19 month old, Luas right on the doorstep only 5 stops from the centre which barely takes 10 minutes.
Rooms were fantastically laid out and were clean and very comfortable.
The staff were so friendly and the breakfast was just right for what we needed. Can't praise the hotel enough. Great time was had.

My wife and I stayed in the Gibson Hotel to mark my birthday. The Gibson is a fantastic hotel, a very spacious, modern, stylish hotel in Dublin's Docks area. All the staff, from the receptionists, to the general manager, all deserve a special mention, they made our stay very special! We stayed in a junior suite which was amazing. Very spacious, nicely furnished, huge bathroom, great balcony (huge with a garden area, perfect for al fresco drinks) with fantastic views of the city, definitely would spend the extra pennies to stay in this room again. The bar area is very relaxing and spacious with a great selection of wines and drinks. Unfortunately we didn't eat in the hotel restaurant as we had made arrangements to meet friends in the city but for all you breakfast lovers this is a buffet to die for. After spending two hours over breakfast we didn't eat for the rest of the day. This hotel is a must stay, We'll definitely be staying at the Gibson on our next visit to Dublin. Thanks again Gibson staff!!!

Room Tip: If you can afford it upgrade to a junior suite, you won't be disappointed!
