Tour was great way to see the city in my limited time. Got a lot of history of the city and the country. Best tour I've been on in Europe.

We were only in Dublin for a day-trip from the North and wanted to see as much as possible in a short space of time and this walking tour was spot on. I think even if you were in Dublin for longer, take this tour first to scope everything out and then you can return to the places that interest you to check them out in greater depth.
Our tour guide James was brilliant, he was charming, funny and knowledgeable about the city. He was welcoming and got everyone involved in the tour, encouraging questions (of which there weren't many as he explained everything so well) and giving recommendations on what to do on the rest of your trip. If we had more time in Dublin we would have definitely went on the pub tour that evening too, which he pitched really well for live music and a bit of craic.
The tour is completely free and if you think your guide did a good job you can time them, which we did. If we had more money on us we probably would have tipped more as it was such a good tour with lots of history, Irish storytelling and general banter. The quality of the tour probably depends on the tour guide you get, but if all Sandeman's guides are as top-notch as James then they are on to a winner.

It was very interesting and funny at the same time. We enjoy a lot. Don't leave Dublin without trying the "spoony".

Chris, our guide, was beyond passionate about Irish history and culture. He's a Dublin native and loves his job. I've been on 7 Sandeman free tours now and he was by far the best I've ever had. I was entertained, I learned and I laughed.

I highly recommend this tour.

Just returned home from our Irish adventure, and absolutely one of the highlights was the walking tour of Dublin which was so expertly and professionally led by Robbie.
A wealth of knowledge, Robbie was both engaging, and engaged.
He patiently and enthusiastically endured our endless questions and provided great background and information. He was even so kind as to take a few moments to chat with us when we bumped in to him later that same day.
Robbie is a person who is genuine in his enthusiasm, not only for his home, but for the people he is generous enough to share it with. We were indeed fortunate to benefit from his knowledge, information, and kindness.
If there was a rating higher than 5 stars, Robbie would surpass it by leaps and bounds!
We not only valued the time we spent with Robbie the information source/tour guide, but most importantly with Robbie the person.
Kudos, Bravo, Well Done, Encore!
Thanks again.
