As a travel consultant, I thought this may be worth visiting to advise clients with young families or those interested in folklore. Please know this tour is not recognized by department of tourism, so therefore not included in your Dublin Pass. 15 Euro to get in and truly, you might as well throw your money out the door or by yourself a couple Guinness. At very best, it may entertain pre school birthday party or field trip. VERY BAD!!!

Hello. I'm sorry but there is a number of things in your review which are not just wrong, but full of misinformation.

1) We do not charge €15 into the museum. A full price guide can be found on our website. None of the tickets reach this amount.

2) Not offering free entry with the Dublin Pass does not mean we are not recognised by the department of tourism. We are recognised and listed on Fáilte Ireland's tourism website for both The National Leprechaun Museum:
http://www.discoverireland.ie/Arts-Culture-Heritage/the-national-leprechaun-museum/80401
And also for our adults only theatre piece Dark Land:
http://www.discoverireland.ie/Whats-On/dark-land/507829

We take all comments and reviews very seriously, but we cannot agree with your review due to the misinformation within it.

I visited this palce recently with my Daughter, it was quite a fun thing, particularly the room we passed thru on the tour with all the extra large furniture, It felt like you were in alice in wonderland, but other than that theyre were a few other magical experiences along the way, the narrator who did the tour was very informative and kept the listeners attention in the group young or old, there was a video on in one of the rooms showing and explaining what a Leprechaun actually is. It only took just under an hour for the whole tour we thought it was quite good value for money.

Hello and thank you for your feedback. We are delighted that you had such a good time in the museum. We will be passing on your feedback and kind words onto Sophie also.

With the contents of the museum, we are constantly expanding. This year alone has seen a huge amount of change happen within the museum walls, with more to come. We do hope you return again in the future to see these changes. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in Dublin.

Not for everyone! If you're an adult, you have to be up for a laugh but great for the kids! Tour guide absolutely makes the place worth a visit! Sophie's enthusiasm and energy is infectious and we all agreed we'd go back again if she was guaranteed! :P

As much as I love Ireland and the people, I can honestly say this is the worst tourist attraction I have ever experienced. We came here on the last day of our holiday to Ireland and this wasn't far from our hotel so we checked it out. We were both surprised it cost 12 Euro each to enter, but paid it and figured it must be good. Firstly, we were all crammed into a small room to wait for the tour to begin...there were a few storyboards and figurines/ memorabilia of leprechauns. The tour itself went for under an hour and it was just nothing, most of it wasn't even relevant to leprechauns. All we did was go into a room with giant furniture, the only room with half decent props, then continue through other random dark rooms and we were told some pointless stories/ fairytales, some not even involving leprechauns. One of the rooms was literally 'running through a rainbow' where we had to run and make noise through rainbow colored threads hanging from the ceiling. I can't imagine even any kids would enjoy this. The girl who did our tour was really nice and super enthusiastic, but it didn't actually improve what the tour was, and once we finished the tour and got to the end part - the gift shop - she seemed to lose all of her pizzazz and was just standing at the counter looking embarrassed. We walked away feeling totally ripped off and annoyed we had wasted all that time. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone!!

Hello there. Firstly we apologise that The National Leprechaun Museum was not what you were expecting.
The National Leprechaun Museum as you pointed out, is a story telling experience about Irish mythology and folklore. It is carefully designed to enhance this experience and this is something we ensure every customer knows and understands before they enter. Story telling isn't for everyone, but it is something a large amount of people do enjoy and get a lot out of.

We explore Irish mythology, which is more than just Leprechauns. The first half of the museum is directly about the creatures, while the second half introduces you to other aspect, such as the fairy folk which you mentioned. These are very important creatures to Irish folklore, and have a direct link with the Leprechaun (Shoe making). Again this is something we ensure every customer knows before entering the museum.

We hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in Dublin.
