Last weekend my wife and I together with some members of our family flew off to Dublin for a few days. The Grand Plaza Hotel in Northwood was great, we had been there before. Nearby is a
Chinese Restaurant called The `Mandalay` which was recommended to us and so we booked for the evening meal. It was a terrible disappointment, the starters were limited and small portions even for starters, although my wife thought the spring rolls the best part of the meal. The service was poor, the order for one of our party was forgotten altogether and finally came up when the rest of us had finished. Our party chose differing main courses and all were disappointed when the dishes were served and tasted. Not seeing anything else I liked on the sweet menu I asked about the Ice Cream I was told that it was excellent Ice Cream, I enquired whether it was powdered Ice
Cream, No I was assured it was a really good soft Ice Cream. When it arrived it was Powdered
Ice Cream and hard out of a scoop, a really cheap supermarket offering which was priced at around 5 euros. I told the waiter it was inedible, they still charged for it and the total bill for 6 of
us was around 40 euros a head...........and they added another 10% on top for service.............
THEY WILL NEVER AGAIN SEE ME
