We read good reviews on this place. We were looking for a few cocktails. We popped in immediately found a place to sit. It was not crowded yet. The bartender took at least 15 min to acknowledge us. Never greeted us with a hello or thank you. Drinks were weak and overpriced. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We did not stay for dinner but based on bar service not sure we would.

We were staying at the hotel next door, but its only the night before we left that we wondered in this bar. We only had drinks, as we had dinner reservations elsewhere

Went here on a Thursday night without a reservation. They were able to seat us immediately despite being very busy and the service was top notch. Food was outstanding. I had the black pudding stuffed pork belly and my wife and I shared the beetroot cured salmon which was out of this world. Was also near several pubs for a quick drink afterward. Despite a huge party walking in during our dinner our service remained excellent throughout the dinner. Highly recommend.

My partner and I availed of the three course set menu for 26.50 each. The portions were well sized and we were not left hungry. The lamb broth was delicious as was the beetroot pickled salmon. The mains of ling and pork belly were substantial and enjoyable. We got the chocolate platter for two for dessert and it was amazing. So very tasty. There is alot on the platter and the two of us had trouble finishing it. The chocolate and chilli tart deserves a mention for its great flavour.

Our waitress was excellent and very attentive. She was on the ball the whole time and was a lovely, friendly girl.

Overall, great value and worth a trip.

Reguarly visit here with my partner, consistency here is our main reason of returning. From the slick design of the menus, to a creative and tasty offering from the chefs, this is one of the bright gems around the Georges street area. Service is always charming and professional, one of the girls on the floor Christine (we had to find out her name!!) is always a pleasure and so helpful in any way. Cannot recommend this highly enough. You don't need to bring lots of money either, it's very very reasonable!
