the staff are dodgy, the rooms are so filthy, probably havent been cleaned in months, the shower is a METAL box, it felt like a prison, bathroom SO dirty. i would NOT recommend this place. the hostel stunk so bad, dodgy people staying there, and the only thing they do is drink during the day and watch tv all day long. im glad we didnt get breakfast there, as i would have NEVER touched plates, mugs etc. i didnt even use the toilets, which meant i had to go in pubs etc, but i didnt mind. DO NOT STAY HERE, EVER! the only two good things were, location and LEAVING. i dont know how this is still open

I guess you get what you pay for, but I would pay a little more for a shower that drains, hot water and cleanliness. I'm usually not all that picky, but this was not good at all. The location and staff was nice, but you should stay somewhere else.

Stayed here on a weekend trip to Dublin with my girlfriend for a couple of nights (before treating ourselves on the last night to a great hotel!). Be very careful with this place, it really depends what you want out of your trip.

We intended it as a place to lay our heads, and spent at least 13/14 hours out and about in Dublin so it wasn't too much of a problem. If you want to spend a bit more time in your hostel/hotel/whatever, then think twice about this place. Dorm room was OK, bit of a dirty feel about it. Hallways well kept (ish), but the kitchen was dirty and greasy, the floors werent washed, and the Bathroom was horrific. Tin showers (upright coffins) with grime, toilets not well kept at all (and I used them just after the cleaner had been in there!). Just little things aswell like no soap with the sink areas, dirty floors in the toilets and dirty curtains (where they have some).

The location was quite good. About a 2 minute walk to O'Connell street - main shopping area, with a few places to eat, and about 10 from Temple Bar - the best place to be in Dublin for nightlife.

Again, it really depends on what you want out of your trip. For £6/7 a night it is almost worth it, you get what you pay for. But if i did it again, id probably pay the extra few pounds to choose from some other hostels in the area, they seem quite abundant.

One strange point, the entrance is kind of strange. Birds in cage, big jessus statue and jessus paint on the wall.
Nice place, the rooms are not really clean and the bed are kind of old. But you have a big free breakfast and the staff is really nice.
Big kitchen open all the time, free wifi 24/7.
