“Great tour, not bad of a guide”
Reviewed October 23, 2013

We struck it lucky with extraordinary blue skies and pleasant warm winds for October, so we loved the day. But saying that, the tour was put together very well and the tour guy had good humour and chat. The only downfall was the average restaurant the bus took us for lunch.

“A Fun Experience”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

Did the 3 day west of Ireland tour with my sister. We covered nearly 100 kms. in 3 very full days, so I'd rate it more as a 'taste of Ireland' than an in-depth tour, and in an ideal world we'd get to do it all again at a more leisurely pace! That being said, for the price we paid, it was terrific. Very informal, Paddy's wagons are not super luxurious coaches, but they're functional and comfortable enough and our guide Sean was a laugh a minute. Full marks to him for keeping us entertained on the road. He knew his stuff, history and interesting facts etc. and managed to keep the humour coming despite little interaction with a reserved and quiet bunch of tourists some of the days. Our night out in Galway was great - Sean recommended a pub with good food and great music and dancing. Its worth following the guide's recommendations, they know the good places.
We had one bad experience, a pretty awful B&B in Galway. We chose not to stay there and went to another much better one close by. Paddy Wagon apologized for this and refunded what we'd paid to the second B&B. Also promised to look into the quality of the B&B's they use. Office staff are efficient and pleasant.

“Great, big Craic”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

We did the 8 day Paddy Wagon tour in May 2012 and had an amazing time. The first few days were a little muddled due to a mix up with accommodation in Belfast hostel being double booked but that didn't mess us about too much. Our driver was really friendly and professional but also had fun with us and had lots of stories to tell, great food recommendations for restaurants/bars etc. The spots we visited are beautiful, and the people on the tour with us were great and we are still in touch with most of them. It is a great, stress free way to see Ireland.

“Best day in Ireland with Michael!”
Reviewed October 16, 2013 via mobile

My friend and I found paddywagon tours by mistake... We wanted to go to Dingle and couldn't find a public bus route that would get us there. We decided to book a tour for 35 euros... A great deal when you consider the public bus system would most likely cost the same or more from limerick. Our tour guide was Michael and he was absolutely fantastic. No doubt, the tour and the entire day was the best part of our trip. Michael entertained us all with stories, singing of Irish songs, and plenty of jokes along the way. By the end of the trip, we were all singing, laughing, joking, and sharing picture of our lives back home. While on the tour, we had several outgoing personalities that Michael turned into the feature of the trip complete with dancing. He has only been with the company for 7 months and should truly be commended for his incredible work making tourists enjoy Ireland properly. The fact that he could keep a smile and good humor for fourteen hours straight is unbelievable by itself. Would highly highly recommend this day trip to Dingle in a heartbeat.
