I was suprising my parents to go to Belfast for the day and wondering what company to travel with. I decided to go with Paddywagon as they were going to the new Titantic, Belfast visitors centre and to Drogheda.
The tour started on time at 8am and our tour guide was Gary. We had a full bus with people from USA, Canada, Silgo and Dublin on the bus. Gary was very informative on the bus with information at every stop. Enjoyed seeing the head of St Oliver Plunkett in Drogheda (and a relic of the true cross). The High Cross in Monasterboice was also lovely, but the ground was very boggy, so I wasn't able to do too much looking, the ground was like quick sand.
Gary explained that if we would like to go on the Black Taxi Tour, we could, but we would have less time to shop around Belfast. Well, I didn't come to Belfast to shop, so we decided to go on the Black Taxi Tour, which I would strongly recommend. My Dad still talks about the tour to this day. We had time to have a cup of tea and a sandwich.
We had to make time to get to the Titanic visitors centre. This part of the journey I found rushed and we were asked to be on the bus again for 3.30 pm, while the itinerary on the computer said 4.15 pm. One of the people on the bus didn't come out of the visitors centre until 4 pm which was unfair for us who followed Gary's advice.
Gary got us back to Dublin in good time and dropped us near Connolly Station, so we could get the Dart back to our hotel. I would recommend Paddywagon in the future and thanks for your help with the booking.
