Description: Dublin's original steakhouse with the experience and knowledge of over 25 years of serving the perfect steak. We change our menus each season to reflect the best that Irish produce has to offer and to ensure the highest quality of local fresh seafood. We offer an informed wine list to meet all budgets and an extensive selection of cocktails and spirits. We are also open for weekday for lunch serving health and tasty dishes at very reasonable prices. The way in which we guarantee the highest quality in beef in both texture and flavour is by choosing Irish beef and the highest grade of traditional breeds of cattle. At F.X.BUCKLEY our prime cuts are hung on the bone at 4°C and at 80% humidity for a minimum of 28 days. Storing meat for several weeks where it can loose up to 16% of it's weight involves considerable expertise so all F.X.BUCKLEY butchers are specifically trained for the process. The benefit for our patrons is to experience the concentration and saturation of natural meat flavours and superior tenderness. Hence why you will hear experts use terms such as "buttery and rich", and "earthy and nutty" to describe our dry-aged beef.

We just dined here at the weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

The meal was just amazing, tasty, big portions and cooked to perfection.....steak of course. It was cooked to perfection.

The staff were just tremendous, so helpful, friendly and genuinely interested in there patrons. They took the time to chat and make sure that everything was perfect at all times.

We will for sure be back next year to celebrate our next wedding anniversary, no doubts about it.

A special thanks to Alan as he was just lovely and very attentive. A credit to the restaurant and a good example to team members.
We are so happy. Thank you all so much for making it so special and enjoyable for us.

Keep up the good work and of course the amazing food.
You will be the example in which we now compare other restaurants.

FX Buckley has to be the best steak I've had in Dublin so far (I've lived here 18 months). They have an awesome choice, and offer a number of different weights.

From memory you can get a pretty substantial t-bone with chips and onion rings (both of which are delicious) and a choice of sauce for about 35 euros. They offer Red wine, bearnaise, or pepper sauce - all of which are good.

The service here is good. Needs no elaboration.

Aside from the steaks, the starters and desserts are all very good.

The wine list is long, and generally good value. We had a nice red for about 30 euros.

Always my first choice for a dinner with mates, but a good place to take a date as well. The atmosphere is nice in the restaurant, probably too well lit but that's subjective.

The excellent rating is due to the quality of the steak though - its just unbeatable.

We had a lovely meal there on New Year's Eve it was a lovely experience...the food was really nice, steak is obviously the specialty at this restaurant. The staff were brilliant and very attentive despite the busy evening. There was no rush and we were treated fabulously.

I had heard good things about this place that they have their own butcher etc.

The food was very good have been back a number of times.

This a meat specialist and they know how to do their job, I like my steak well done some say it ruins the meat making it tough but it was like cutting butter absolutely amazing,

Their desert menu may be small but it certainly had all the bases cover, i opted for the apple and berry crumble. I was presented with a really nice tasting dessert accompanied with custard, and fresh cream.

All in all if you like your meat then this is the place to visit, it does cater for the non beef eaters too, the menu is very good.

Been here twice in the last while for work events.

The menu is fine but there are vast differences in the quality of the dishes.

For instance- the Kidneys starter is delicious and well presented while the Goats cheese tartlet uses 'tartlet' in the broadest terms (it's a soggy layer if pastry with a lump of cheese on it which was stone cold by the time it was served.)

The hake on the main menu is great- served with mash and a delicious chorizo sauce however thier 'cheese' board consists of one cheese and their chocolate brownie is dry and stodgy.

We were there for a work lunch recently and were only offered the most expensive lunch menu and it took a full hour for the starter to come out. 3 hours for lunch - in the end and most of us just gave up and left desserts and coffees on the table. The service was slower than I've ever experienced anywhere.

They have some potential but wouldn't recommend it- especially for big groups.
