“Cute place, not so cute taste...”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Yo Sushi restaurant is on the same level as M&S.
They serve hot and cold dishes. Each item is colour coded, and you can see how much each dish costs.
They are not cheap, and the taste is ok. I went here to use my Hi-Life dining card, which allows me 2 for 1 price.
For a normal price, it is more expensive than my usual sushi place (ten thousand island in town), with sub-par taste.

However, with that being said the service was quick, pleasant.. and the food is already prepared so it is ideal for a quick bite. They even have booths for bigger groups near the elevator.

Service can be slow when it gets busy over lunch, but really enjoyed people watching after a solid shopping experience

“Awful”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

Been there Feb 2013 on a sunday, when it's "all you can eat in 1 hour" for 20€.
The food's on the kaiten is a mix of chinese and proto-japanese sushi, which is not good nor prepared in the proper manner: Rice is overcooked and served hot, the fish is of really bad quality and it does not stick to the rice ball properly.
The bar is designed with a kaiten that flows trough, and while the waiters brings dishes to the farthest place of the kaiten, there are some spots in which there is shortage of plates.

“I love the food”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

It's one of my fav restaurants in Dublin. I love the variety, quality and flavour of food served there. It's far from being just sushi bar.

Only bad thing is that it's not cheep - if you can eat a lot, like me, then it definitely will not be a cheap visit.

“High speed dinner, go for the experience but the food is good too!”
Reviewed January 4, 2013 via mobile

I took my 11 year old and 2 10 year olds here for the girls' birthday. (Dundrum branch). The kids had always wanted to try it and they absolutely loved it. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The unlimited filtered water at your table for €1 is a great idea. The food was good but not extraordinary. The sushi was no different to that which you'd get to take away from M&S (but that could be my uncultured palate). Hot orders came really quickly. A word of caution though, it is SO easy to lift dishes from the conveyor belt when you're hungry and the bill could add up very quickly if you weren't being careful! That said, total bill for 2 adults and 3 kids was €60, really reasonable. A great experience for the kids but I'm too much of a hungry horse for sushi dinner!
