Description: Mongolian Barbeque is the name given a method of cooking used by Genghis Khan and his troops in the 13th century, when they would cook meat on their shields over an open fire! Now we use a cast iron grill over an open flame, and you get to choose your ingredients. We have a great range of meat and vegetables, spices and sauces. With prices starting from 6.90 Euro at lunchtime for one trip, Early Bird discounts and All You Can Eat options, as well as tempting side orders, desserts and great beer offers, how could you resist?!

“Cheap & Cheerful”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

We went to this restaurant last week on a recommendation. The idea is that you choose from a range of meats, vegetables, spices and sauces to make your own combination and then bring it to the big hot plate to be cooked for you. They have an all you can eat option for a very reasonable €13 on the early bird. My husband made a couple of bad choices with his combinations so they didn't come out to well... we ordered starters which were nice, chicken wings and prawn in filo, and we then did 2 trips to the buffet. I don't think there was anything "mongolian" about the food, it seemed more Chinese to us and also it wasn't a BBQ, it was a hot plate that they stirfried your food on. So really it should be called the Chinese Stirfry!
All in all it is a bit of fun and great value for your money

“Exotic treat in the heart of Temple Bar”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

Any visit to this eatery is a real treat - all the movement and creations giving the place its own special atmosphere.

And that's the best aspect of all - the fun of coming up with your own creations of ingredients, especially with all of the sauces and spices before handing over your masterpiece for a quick turn on the hot plate.

Just a few steps outside then and you're right back in the heart of Temple Bar....!! Perphaps best of all are the reasonable prices for such an otherwise expensive city. They have long stayed compeitive through good times in the economy also these currently less favourable...!!

“Have to go”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

I love this place, you get to pick what ingredients to use, what spices and watch it being cooked and it's all you can eat. The food is what you make it and if you get a concoction you don't like you just go up and try again. The service is always good and when it's busy there is a great atmosphere, fantastic if theres a group or evern just yourself

“Original, fresh, tasty and fun”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

The concept is quite original and the atmosphere of this very central restaurant (right in the middle of Temple Bar) is pleasant. Service is efficient and polite, although the cooks working with the barbeque in front of you were quite cold if not rude.

You've got to be prepared to have your clothes smelling of spices for the rest of the day if you go and eat there, but I suppose it's the price to pay to have an unusual culinary experience!

It's great value for money at 5 euros for a bowl of food (or 10 euros for 'eat as much as you like' style), there's enough variety in the food that is available in the buffet the range of spices is excellent.

Definitely worth a trip for a quick, tasty and cheap lunch in Dublin!
