“One of the best Italian restaurants in Dublin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2014

I usually avoid restaurants in Temple Bar so that is why I discovered Il Vicoletto only after 5 years in Dublin. It was a nice surprise and now I am a regular customer. Great selection of wines and food. I would recommend to ask for the specials. The staff is nice and able to create a great atmosphere. When someone asks me for a good Italian restaurant, Il Vicoletto is always my first suggestion.

“Large portions”

Loved the atmosphere, the bustle of the place, and the food was wonderful. Beware, though, because the portions are quite large.

“Wow now I know why it is always booked out! ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2014 via mobile

This was recommended to me by a friend and she was right! It is often booked out- it is tiny- maybe 10 or 11 tables. It is perfect for a romantic meal. We had the calamari and the carpaccio- which were delicious and a very generous size. The steak main was amongst the best I have tasted- perfectly cooked- which can often be an issue. And the pasta- well it was velvety and delicious! A great wine list made the meal even better. We did not make dessert- but I will be back! You can also avail of a 25 euro three course menu- which in city centre Dublin is a bargain! Don't hesitate- book!

“Charming”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2014

From the minute you walk through the door the charm and cosiness of the place is just magical. It is a small restaurant but intimate. Good for a romantic dinner or a friends night out. The waiters are so genuine and are interested in the food they are serving and take genuine pride when it is complimented. The aromas are just gorgeous and the food is beautiful and so good.

The wine recommendations are excellent and not being a wine expert doesn't matter as you are made to feel your choice is excellent each time.
This is a restaurant to really really enjoy and an experience if you like Italian Food.
