“Oscar Wilde - 5star Cabins”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

Just returned to Roslare from Roscoff. Decided to try the 5star cabin. Found it very comfortable on 8th deck at front of boat. Almost no vibration and no engine noise in cabin 8100 - though flat seas may have helped! Staff were very helpful and restaurant surprisingly good. It was busy but staff very polite when they asked us to wait 10 mins as our table was not ready. The food was well prepared, it was worth waiting for. 5star cabin includes complimentary minibar and full breakfast. Will definitely try this again as it is far superior to the 3star and 4star cabins we have used before. If you can afford the extra cost then consider it as money well spent.

“Great trip but compensation for 6 hour delay poor”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

Sailed on Oscar Wilde at the end of August from Roscoff to Rosslare.Although the sailing was delayed by 6 hours (we were notified 6 hours in advance) we arrived on time the next morning after making good time over night. The 3 star cabin with porthole was excellent very clean and had a greats night sleep.

We were given drinks vouchers as compensation for the delayed sailing however these were restricted to one non alcoholic per person Not very good after such a delay and the cost of the trip. Need to do better.

Great trip and next time I`m sure we will have time to try one of the restaurants which look great.

“Good service!”

I am over and back to wales the whole time and can never fault Irish Ferries. The ships are always clean, and there is plenty to do onboard! I recommend them.

“Great experiences”
Reviewed September 11, 2012

Our family of 2 adults + 4 children have been travelling to France with Irish Ferries for a number of years , generally having great experiences on the excellent Oscar Wilde. On our most recent trip in July , one of our children became very ill on board . We found the staff on the Oscar Wilde absolutely focussed on ensuring we recieved the best possible medical attention fast. The follow up & customer care we recieved was fantastic. We were hugely impressed by the staff who work for Irish Ferries - through their actions in 'doing the right thing' for the customers who travel with them. Definite recommendation!

Travelled from roslare to Cherbourg and back from roscoff to roslare! Great experience overall! The rough seas on the journey over did take from the trip but overall excellent!
