We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. Sandra is a welcoming and helpful host. Breakfast was great every morning. We truly enjoyed Dublin and all of the wonderful people we met, especially Sandra.
- Free Wifi
We had our reservations at the Abberley House but when we got there they moved us to the Botanic. From the time we arrived, there wasn't anything that Sandra wouldn't do for us. She immediately offered us coffee or tea, and brought out some toast also. She gave us a map, directions, and lots of suggestions. The room was comfortable, not large, but we didn't expect a huge room. The shower had plenty of hot water, a must for us. There was free Wi FI and the delicious, cooked to order breakfast was more than enough to keep us going for a good part of the day. The bus to the town center stops right nearby, so it was very convenient and easy to travel to anywhere we wanted to. When it came time for us to leave, she even drove us to pick up our rent car,
I think the best part of this B&B is the location. It is right on the bus route, straight into Dublin city center, easy to get around. The owner is wonderful and gave us great travel hints, like the three day Tour bus and city bus pass which we used to get everywhere, including out to Howth. The house is clean, the beds are very comfortable and the breakfast was all you could ask for, cooked to order. The owner gave us two pillows each, which made sleeping much more comfortable. It was quiet and in a nice area with a wonderful pub right in the area.
My wife and I recently stayed at the Botanic Villa B&B, and we had a very memorable time. Hospitality shown to us by the owner was exceptional. The breakfast was an Irish delight. Our room was charming with all the right amenities and the cleanliness was exceptional. The ambiance was very pleasant and a great location, close to the city center and the main attractions in Dublin. The owner's wealth of information concerning the city was invaluable. She guided us through the attractions in Dublin including the many great resturants and pubs as well as the historic attractions. Can't wait to return. Great value!
Any time I'm in Dublin I stay with Sandra, in the Botanic Villa. It probally one of the best guest house's I've stayed in, and I travel a lot. The house is quite, very clean and has exellent facilities. It's as if you were in your own home. Close to the centre of Dublin, 10/15 minute walk, or get the bus, the stop is right outside, well maybe 50meters down the road. It's also situated on the airport road, which is very convient . If your new to Dublin, ask Sandra where to go, or,alternativly, all the information is just inside the front door. It is also close to shop's,pubs and restruants, whatever your taste.
Sandra is a very warm friendly person and, will help you out, should you be new to Dublin,or not quite familiar, with the city. I alway's recommend people to stay there should they be visiting Dublin,as you won't be dissapointed. Reasonably priced and a fabouious breakfast in the morning. If your staying in Dublin, short or long stay, I would highly recommend the Botanic Villa, you won't get better.
staying at the botanic villa was a real pleasure. the rooms were perfect for what we needed with a hot shower and tele if the weather was bad.considering the location it was very quiet as well. The breakfast that sandra cooks is the ideal way to start you off in the morning, thick bacon and great sausages.its not just the cooking that sandra was good at though, her knowledge of the area became very useful, with regards to transport, where to eat and what to see. If you catch the right bus you can be in the city centre in 5 mins and no longer than 15.it is so close you could walk it in about 20mins.Dont need to worry about where to eat at night as there are several take outs and an italian just outside, plus a shop and a pharmacy. All in all it was a great trip made all the better thanks to the accomodation.me and my partner are planning on coming up agian, maybe when its a bit warmer! chirs and charlotte.
