“Good value for short term stay”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

Overall, decently priced hostel and nothing really specific to complain about. Security is good. In fact, security is so good one day I stood at the front door for about 5 minutes ringing the buzz to be let in before anyone responded...

The showers and toilets are very cramped. I also couldn't figure out the lights in all of them. I think one of the toilets' lights did not work. Hostel was within walking distance to sites such as the Guinness Brewery, Trinity College. Also, not that hard to find. Free breakfast was a plus!

Great little hostel. Very clean with tight security. There's cameras everywhere and some personal lockers that you can use, albeit you have to pay 1€ or so for a couple of hours. Every bed has an outlet. My room even had a bathtub. An actual bathtub so I can just take a relaxing bath in. Breakfast was also free which was awesome.

Nice place, clean, and close to Temple Bar. The beds have integrated power and USB outlets so it's easy to charge your phone or other devices.

My two complaints are horrible wifi reception anywhere but the lounge, and the lack of towels to rent for two nights in a row. My roommates were drying themselves off with T-shirts.

Stayed here for a couple of nights prior to my Shamrock adventure tour. I got the airlink express from the airport to O'connell street and then walked to the hostel (as they advised) and it was pretty easy. I found this to be quite a lively hostel as it is right around the corner from the temple bar area so can't say I had the best nights sleep in this place but then I was kind of staying at the hostel for a different reason so not really going to mark it down for that. I stayed in a 5 person dorm which seems like a second thought as there were two bunk beds that had power points and reading lights and I managed to end up with a bed next to the window which didn't have any of that. The room was pretty big though as far as I remember and there was a separate toilet and shower which is always a plus in my opinion.

As I said, the temple bar area is round the corner, the main shopping street is up the road, I found I was able to walk to a majority of the Dublin sites from the hostel. Didn't try the free breakfast. You have to had in the room key every time you leave the hostel, which is good in case you lost it and the key is massive, but also a little annoying if it is busy at reception.

If you are looking for a base while you try out all the pubs in Dublin I would definitely recommend this hostel. If you were thinking of staying here before going on a tour early in the morning, I would perhaps try somewhere else.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Abigail's Hostel. The location was very close to temple bar and has a bus stop right outside. The cost to Heuston station was cheap too. The dorm was clean but a little bit old. The showers were hot.

The hostel is located right by the river Liffey, and by O'Connell Street, with connections to pretty much everywhere in Dublin. The rooms were good, no frills but also not dirty or horrible. There were a lot of noisy young people hanging out in the common area every night during our stay, who were very annoying, but their noise did not carry to the rooms, and we were able to sleep peacefully. The staff in the lobby were quite helfpul and friendly, and even organized for us to have some cereal in the morning when we were due to leave earlier than breakfast was set for, which was very nice! Overall, a great hostel to stay in if you're on a budget!

I just stayed here with two friends in a shared 6 mixed dorm with ensuite. The location was perfect, the staff was helpful and the bunks had a light and power outlet. To my surprise breakfast was included, it wasn't anything special (coffee, juice, tea, toast with butter and jam, hard boiled eggs, corn flakes, canned fruit and yogurt) but it was filling and free. WiFi worked great and in rooms. Inexpensive! I would recommend this hostel.
