You should go just to see the building and have a drink or pint at the bar. The food was good, but not exceptional. Very limited seating so I strongly recommend making a reservation. We visited with two friends from Cork on a Friday evening at 8:00 PM and the beautiful bar was crowded with limited stools and bar seating. We were seated promptly for our 8:30 reservation and the service was quick (without being hurried), attentive and professional.
The food was good although not exceptional. The dinner menu is somewhat limited. Our wives both had salmon with mashed which they said was good - but not great. My friend and I both tried the larger steak - a small (by American standards) porterhouse. It was the best piece of beef I had during our 2 week visit. The prices are a high - even by Dublin standards - but the quality, preparation and service were very good.
The Bank on College Green is in a great location near Trinity College and is within easy walking distance of everything in Dublin Centre. I highly recommend it for a visit and a couple of drinks after taking in the sights.
