Tiny bistro that brought such a breath to the restaurant scene in Dublin. Local, good food, great service and super atmosphere. I have visited here on too many occasions to mention. Love the food, the staff and the relaxed attitude.
But all has changed recently............ and such a pity. On three occasions I was refused food as they were closing early (8pm). Prices have gone from €10 to €18 for a plate of pasta. Customers have voted with their feet and now it is so quiet they tend to close early due to lack of customers. Do check in advance if you want to try it. Depending on who is managing the shift the food, service and atmosphere can range from poor to superb
My last meal this week was excellent, some good wholesome tomato and basil soup, with good artisan bread. A plate of pasta was hot, tasty and well presented. Pity there were only 4 other people in the restaurant. My friend’s chowder was excellent too.
This place would be full if they reduced the price and returned to their roots. Let’s hope they get it together again.
