“Pull it together guys”
Reviewed April 8, 2012

Tiny bistro that brought such a breath to the restaurant scene in Dublin. Local, good food, great service and super atmosphere. I have visited here on too many occasions to mention. Love the food, the staff and the relaxed attitude.
But all has changed recently............ and such a pity. On three occasions I was refused food as they were closing early (8pm). Prices have gone from €10 to €18 for a plate of pasta. Customers have voted with their feet and now it is so quiet they tend to close early due to lack of customers. Do check in advance if you want to try it. Depending on who is managing the shift the food, service and atmosphere can range from poor to superb
My last meal this week was excellent, some good wholesome tomato and basil soup, with good artisan bread. A plate of pasta was hot, tasty and well presented. Pity there were only 4 other people in the restaurant. My friend’s chowder was excellent too.
This place would be full if they reduced the price and returned to their roots. Let’s hope they get it together again.

“Just ok”
Reviewed August 26, 2011

Went to Plan B yesterday for lunch with friends. Most of us had spag bol which was nice, plenty of meat in the sauce, pasta was lovely. Thought it was a bit unfair to charge €16 for a pasta dish and glass of wine at lunchtime and €15 for the same thing on the early bird menu. A friend ordered dessert which the waiter forgot about so the chef came out and apologised and deducted it from the bill, which was very fair.

“Incredibly accomodating & great food”
Reviewed May 11, 2011

Ate there as round the corner from visiting family - with our 3yo & 18 month old. Very accomodating for our fussy youngest! Ragu was melt in the mouth delicious (we polished off what he left!) & our 3yo loved it. We shared a cheese & meat platter and some house wine - all went down very nicely indeed (we were there at 5.30pm on a Saturday so not hungry enough for lots of food and we were only ones in there, hence low Atmosphere grading!) Walked past again at 7.30pm and it was full so clearly a popular local choice! Don't miss out!
