This place does a really good sandwhich board meal for lunch - think ciabata with bacon and chicken served with salad and soup. Its a bit flasher than a bakery/cafe but has a great buzz and friendly staff.

I wanted to go to Hugo's for a very long time, it just looks so cute from outside. We finally decided to go there for a rather special occassion. The first thing that struck me was that it seems much posher inside than it looks from outside. Also, the hostess at the entrance was not very friendly - she assumed that since we are young and not dressed in our Sunday bests (although it was very restaurant appropriate) we won't be able to pay for the meal or something. But our night was completely ruined by an unfriendly waitress who did not listen to what we ordered, didn't bring the food we wanted etc. Even though the food was lovely, I will not go to Hugo's again unless I wanted to re-act a part of "Pretty Woman" in there.

Enjoyed a great meal with friends at Hugo's. A good location and nice buzzy atmosphere. The staff were knowledgable about the food and wine, they were also attentive without being overly so. The food was excellent - I would certainly go again and happily recommend it to anyone looking for a quality dining experience.

Safe to say we wont be returning due to the rude and unhelpful hostess we encountered who instantly judged us as we are a young couple! Food was ok, atmosphere lacking though. Most definitely better places to spend ur money!

We were looking for a nice place to celebrate my husbands milestone birthday. ( our reservations at another place didn't work out so at the last minute we had to come up with something good on the fly) Hugo's had a charming look from the street so we stopped to inquire & met Padraig who said if we could give him half an hour, he could work it out to make a place for us. We headed across the street to a pub to kill 30 minutes and then on our way back, stopped to snap a photo of dad and the 3 adult sons. Padraig came across the street, took the camera and made us a lovely family photo. Now for dinner: lovely wine and traditional Irish food. Rabbit stew, beef bourguignon, seared scallops, all yummy. Starters of fish chowder, mixed olives, rocket salad with smoked haddock-all delicious. We had lots of fun with the sweet waitress and Padraig making for a really fun birthday celebration. This is a nice place, good food, warm atmosphere, and super people
