Great fish and chips indeed. With several that I tried throughout my 2 week trip of UK and Ireland this was in the top 2 for sure if not the best

Good food, although as a late evening dinner, many of the day's specials were sold out. The trout was especially good. Nice wine list as well.

The food and service at the Kingfisher were typical of what is expected at a fish and chippery. The waitresses were a bit distracted as some drama was taking place during my visit, but the food was hot and fresh.

After reading good things in guidebooks about their fish & chips ("world famous" it says on their menu), we thought we'd give them a try. There were several types of fish to choose from, and we chose cod and haddock.

Both were large filets, had a lovely golden crust, were oozing oil and were quite flavorless. The chips were bland as well. Thickly cut, light golden, but very little crunch.

Service was slow and not terribly attentive.

If you want a glass of wine, they have a house white and a house red - more choices by the bottle.

Great breakfast service, either if you want a full irish breakfast or a healthier option. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering overall breakfast quality. I always try to stay in a Hotel close to kingfisher, when in Dublin.

Please note I have not tried the restaurant for lunch or dinner, therefore the 5-star rating only applies to breakfast service.
