Description: As the name suggests we are a sports bar with the flavour of the Southern Hemisphere, (without the weather!!). Opened on January 23rd 2003, The Woolshed quickly became the go to place for sports fans looking for a home from home, spread over 4 bars, with 3 giant screens and twenty 50” TVs. We can give 600 people a good view of the game, while still maintaining that Aussie “no worries” welcome to all. Over the years the Woolshed has become known for being the best place to watch sport, we show it all, from SupeRugby, NRL, Rugby Championship, (and of course we will show every one of the Lions Tour matches) to AFL, NFL and of course all the soccer you can wish for! It doesn’t stop after the final whistle with all our free nightly entertainment. Monday Comedy night, Pub Quiz Tuesday, Wednesday Brazilian Party, Karaoke every Thursday, Friday Rock Star Bingo & live bands and weekend DJs. Our menu is served from 12noon to 10pm every day, with a huge choice of burgers, pizza, nachos, platters and our regularly voted “best hot wings in town”! We also have an extensive range of drinks from the Southern Hemisphere to choose from, beers including VB, Crown, Tui, Speights and Castle to spirits like Bundy, 42 below, Klipdrift and Fernet Branca. We don’t leave out the local Irish craft brews either. The Woolshed is fun evenings, great food and drinks and most importantly after 14 years we are still a home from home for those who share our love of sports. So, where the bloody hell are ya?

“fun place but lacking in authenticity”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

First, why in an Australian pub do you have a giant mural of the New Zealand All Blacks on the wall? I was confused. The burger is good but standard, the fish and chips are obviously made from frozen (not fresh), and the menu is lacking overall in terms of traditional/authentic Australian entrees. However, when a game is on, it is a good/fun place to be.

“Best place to watch El Clásico”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

I've been there several times to watch football, I mean, the sport that you play with the foot and a ball, not the american one. I like the environment.

“march madness and good buffalo wings!”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

Went to this place late on night to watch KU play in the NCAA bball tourney and arrived to find it on a small TV facing some makeshift stadium seating without any tables. Why would anyone in Ireland want to watch that game when there's cricket on! We asked them to put the game on another TV by the tables and they made the switch no problem. We ordered some chicken wings and nachos along with some guinness and bulmers to drink. The nachos came with enough sour cream you could have mistaken if for queso but it was easily removed. The salsa wasn't that great either but my wife enjoyed the nachos despite that. The buffalo wings were better than expected, would be even better if they put some additional sauce on them but I'd recommend ordering them if you go here. Service was kind of slow since we showed up late and ordered right before the kitchen closed. If you're in town and want to watch a US sporting event this place seems to be the place to go for that, if not I wouldn't stop in.

“NFL Fans-Great Sports Bar”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

Our daughter discovered the Woolshed when looking for a place to watch a Baltimore Ravens game while studying abroad in Dublin. They have big screen TV's on two levels including two huge screens for the top two games of the day. We went to watch a Ravens game while visiting. The NFL games were on upstairs and soccer matches were on downstairs. Most of the Americans had on jerseys for their favorite teams. Two soldiers were on leave from Iraq and just wanted a beer and a football game. Honestly don't remember the quality of food. It was pub grub and no complaints so I'm thinking it was pretty good. The atmosphere was terrific--lots of cheering from both floors. The staff was incredibly friendly and, I'm sure the tab was tremendous as we lost count of alcohol consumed. No surprises there! A fun pub or, as they call it, a Sports Baaaa

“Good bar - bad resturant”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

As a place for a group to go and have a drink The Woolshed is fine, very good for spots too. But in terms of food The Woolshed is below average, its basic pub grub not done very well and its expensive too.
