We were honoured by staying at Lough Eske Castle for two nights. The suites were large, clean, well appointed. Cedar lined closet, heated bathroom floor and towel rack, what else can you want, oh yeah, the fluffy Terry Cloth Robe and slippers were a nice touch. Dinner in the restaurant was top notch, service, meal and ambiance wonderful. Up before breakfast you make coffee in your suite using the French Press decanter....only the best.. Loved the grounds and the sculptures were perfectly matched. You can not be disappointed to opt to stay here on any special occasion. The high speed WiFi is a bonus.

Room Tip: Staff and location are amazing!

Everything about the Lough Eske screams class and elegance.

We booked this hotel through travel zoo, and paid £99 per room per night- great deal!

The room was amazing, a large 4 poster super kingsize bed, bathroom with his and her sinks and patio doors which led out into the garden. We were in room 133, which was opposite the pool and spa. We just had to pop on our dressing gowns and nip across to the pool in seconds.

Bicyles and umbrellas were on offer if you wanted to walk in the gardens, and Donegal Town is only a 10 minute drive away.

The food was delicious and the staff were more than helpful. A waiter actually brought a pair of slipper to our table because he overheard that a strap had snapped on my sandal. How about that for service??!!

Highly recommend this hotel, and I can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: room 133. 10 sec from spa & pool. v/quiet

have too say its not all its cracked up to be, staff are very friendly room structure very good but cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired! Bathrooms smell, carpets not hoovered lots of scrapes on doors in main corridors but worst of all we stayed for four nights and not once during our stay were the bed clothes changed. It is meant to be five star more a good four star charging five star prices

My wife and I booked the hotel for 1 night only, a Sunday/ Monday. When we arrived we headed straight to the bar and enjoyed great banter with the bar man. All staff were as you would expect, very helpful and friendly. We decided to stay at the bar for a bite to eat and food also lived up to expectations, delicious.
Our suite was in the main bulding and seemed to be brand new. All furnishings and fittings were spotless, as was the bathroom area. One disappointment was I had planned on an early night with an in room movie after working all weekend but the TV offered no such service, a few local stations and a few more foreign channels.
I ended up heading back down to a different bar and mingled with other guests while watching the Golf.
Breakfast the next morning was also excellent, huge choice of everything!
Beautiful hotel for a quiet break, highly recommended by my wife and I.

We managed to get a special deal through Travelzoo.co.uk for 99 pounds per night for B&B and a Spa voucher which was so good that we decided to stay 2 nights. We arrived on a rainy sunday afternoon and was met by the Porter who was very friendly and he brought us to reception. The reception staff were very efficient and chatted away to us while checking us in. The porter then showed us to our room 220. It was absolutely stunning! A massive bed with really comfy cushions and crisp white sheets. The bathroom was massive with a bath and a fantastic shower. We then decided to pop to the bar for a couple of of drinks and found a cosy spot where we watched the world go by...Later that night we had dinner in the hotel Restaurant which was amazing. My husbands Fillet steak was over cooked the first time but this was dealt with very quickly and he was given a second for which he wasnt charged. We chose to eat off the A la Carte menu as we had got such a good deal on the room price but there was a set menu for 39 euro which would be great value for money. we also had a really nice red and a bottle of Prosecco too which were reasonably priced for a 5*. After dinner we popped back to the bar for a few cocktails as well to finish off the night. We decided to have breakfast in bed the next morning and this was brought to us pipping hot and was beautiful. we also used the Spa and had a couples massage (very relaxing) and I had a pedicure while my hubby had a stress release massage the following day. The treatments were fantastic and the therapist very friendly. The pool was also very nice and the changing room facilities very good. It was great to have shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here. We had our batteries recharged and have vowed to come back later in the year to stay again. We might even come back at christmas with the kids because it looks like it would be magical.... Don't think about it...Book it!
