My boyfriend and I ate in Harveys Seafood Bar on a lovely sunny Sunday. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the menu and quaility of food was top notch.. I will come back to try a few more things that looked interesting. The view from the bar is stunning and well worth a see.

Ate at Harvey's Point Seafood Grill after several recommendations. Went for my wife's birthday (we were on Honeymoon just down the road). First the good; the location is great, right on the lake, and we're given to understand the grill has only opened recently. Also very good; the food. The menu is interesting and the quality of the food (when it arrived) was great. Which leads to the not so good; the service was painfully slow and they were clearly under-staffed. Our waiter was doing his best but there should have been three more of him (and he knew it - he told us several staff had "taken a sickie"). In their defence they pulled a little birthday dessert out of the bag for my wife at the end of the night, but the manager really needed to get a better grip on things; a few customers were grumbling.

Dear Mr Evans,

First of all, may I extend our congratulations to you and you wife on the occasion of your recent wedding and thank you for choosing Harvey's Point to celebrate your wife's birthday.

We genuinely appreciate your constructive and valuable feedback. In relation to your comments about the unusual delay in service on the evening you visited, I can only say that we accept that there was a staffing level issue on that occasion and to make matters worse, there was a technical problem with the printer to the kitchen which went unnoticed for a time. This is by way of explanation not an excuse. To be fair to the staff that were there, I am sure that they did their best under the circumstances. Please be assured that corrective action has been taken so that the usual standards for which Harvey's Point is renowned are maintained.

I sincerely hope you will accept our apologies and I would be delighted to discuss this with you further in the hope that we may restore your faith in Harvey's Point.

Thank you once again for taking the time to share your comments in relation to your experience.

Kindest personal regards,

Deirdre Mc Glone
