A great experience at Harvey's Point. Fantastic seafood and fish selection. The quality of the dishes and the taste experinence was wonderful. The only negatives are that the calibre of the wines are too expensive and the service was slow. I wish the team the best of luck with this new venture!

I ate at Harveys Seafood Bar and Restaurant on Monday the 29/7/13. The restaurant has a kind of cosmopolitan vibe to it, I liked it. The menu is good and leans more towards casual dining than set starters/main etc. The service was a little slow, however it was no reflection on the staff present who were doing their best. I would eat there again.

We had a wonderful meal in the Seafood Bar and Grill. This is a new casual dining offering to complement the fine dining on offer in the formal restaurant. Although there is an extensive choice our selection was all seafood - cod, crab claws and mussels etc. etc. The quality of the fish and shellfish and the superb presentation made this a memorable experience. We will be back!

Having written a review of this hotel and got a lovely reply from the owner herself i decided go back again with my family as we have a long affection for this hotel spanning over many years. So off to Harveys Point we go once more, 5 adults and 2 children. Its Easter tuesday and 1pm and the wine bar has a bit of a buzz about it which is to be expected at this time of the year. We were seated quite promptly at an alcove by lady called calle Siobhan who appeared to be very efficient and professional. Our order was placed eventually after the the now new waitress had to make a couple of trips to the kitchen to see if the chicken dish was still available and if they had any sausages for the children, turns out it was the fish dish they had ran out of. After an hour and 15mins of waiting on our food it finally arrived after a member of staff suddendly remembered we were still there, no bar service during this time, we were left nursing our empty glasses. The childrens food arrived about 15mins before our food and when we asked for vinegar at the time of the food being served no-one returned with it, by the time our food came the childrens food was cold. As a way of 'apology' we got a free plate of chips! As we passed the time while waiting on our food, i counted 30 diners in the winebar and 10 staff busying about but only one member of staff who was being pro active. Siobhan swiftly apologised as she could see herself this was not a good situation. Its such a pity cause this hotel is beautiful and in a wonderful setting but the staff and service have once again let them down.

1st time vistor to Harvey's Point for their Wedding Fair last month. Upon entering we found the hotel a bit of a maze, no one about to direct or ask for directions - ended up in the bedrooms trying to find the fair!! afterwards we decided to stay on and sample the food as we were still very interested in having it as our wedding venue. It was 4.30 and we decided to chance the carvey to see if it was still available, when we walked in a very stressed lady told us that they were fully booked. I asked where else could we get food & she told us at the bar, I asked for directions and got a finger pointed down the corridor and was told its down there!!
We found the bar ourselves and I asked a stressed gentleman can we have some menus for the bar - he didn't even look up at us and told me that bar food was finished. I asked if there was anywhere we could get some food and he told me no the carvey & bar are finished food, he didn't give us any guidance as so weather they'd be serving again anytime soon. We were extremely disappointed at the service and not being able to get anything to eat at 4.30 on a Sunday afternoon - we left with a bad taste in our mouths and will not be considering Harveys Point for our wedding venue
