travelling from the UK , this was our 2nd visit to Harvey's Point , staying 2 nights ,11th and 12th September , to catch the Cabaret on the 1st night . On arrival we were upgraded to an even larger premium suite , than we had last year - with all the spaciousness , comforts and little extras that we have come to appreciate at Harvey's Point . The hotel continues to excel in many qualities ; not least the friendly and attentive staff; the quality of the dining experience, particularly the breakfasts ; the peaceful location on the waters edge ; and ever present but unobtrusive smell of peat smoke from the ingle nook fire , adjacent to reception.
The cabaret as expected never fails to entertain under the jovial stewardship of host Noel Cunningham supported by an excellent cast.
Prior to leaving the receptionist kindly showed us the recently refurbished Lakeshore suites which now support - garden / lake views and private balcony - yet another plus for Harvey's Point.

Went to Harvey's Point for a relaxing 2 night stay. I chose mid week so we could experience the cabaret and it was worth experiencing. A table was reserved for us, the meal was lovely and we were able to enjoy the great variety of acts from where we were sitting. It all ran very smoothly with the cabaret starting as we enjoyed our coffee and there was no waiting or big breaks in between artists. We really enjoyed something being on which we could go to and the second night we had a beautiful relaxing meal in the restaurant.

Room Tip: Our room was a premium with a view of the lake but I believe all rooms are furnished just as nice bu...

Always loved our stay in Harvey's Point over the years with the friendly service and fabulous rooms and last Wednesday night we went to the Cabaret Night with dinner. It was a brilliant night of entertainment with something for everybody including an excellent 4 course dinner, Noel Cunningham really added to the entertainment and we definitely return to this show next year and will gather up a few more Cavan women.

I was in Harvey's point recently on their watercolour course. The standard of the hotel and it's furnishing is exceptional. My bedroom was amazingly spacious. The food is excellent. The staff and manager, noel, go out of their way to make guests feel welcome and for their stay to be special. I really enjoyed the Cabaret which was very professional. During my stay I thought why would I ever go anywhere else, it would be difficult to beat this hotel.

Loved our stay here, staff very pleasant, enormous and very comfortable rooms, food was good. We ate in the hotel bar three evenings, can recommend the Harvey's club sandwich, if you're in need of a serious man-wich! Didnt try the more formal dining as we were there to totally relax and didnt feel like dressing up. But the menu looked great there too. Breakfast was lovely, it's hard to get buffet scrambled eggs right, but they do.
The standard room is called the executive suite, and for the same price there are now lake view lodges, which we will definitely try the next time. It is close to Donegal town, a nice place to visit, and further out the coast is slieve league l cliffs, which we saw on a glorious sunny afternoon, higher than the cliffs of moher. Well worth a trip.
