We enjoyed this hotel last year so much we decided to go back again this year. We are glad to report that everything was as before but was even probably somewhat better, helped in no small way by the heat wave during our stay. The staff are really wonderful & Deirdre the GM leads by example in personally greeting guests during their stay. The new fish restaurant is superb as is the live music each night - pianist / singer ( Dean Martin oldies).
The cabaret show on the Wednesday throughout the summer is really most enjoyable - Roly Daniels & Noel Cunningham etc were outstanding along with the wonderful dinner.
I am not surprised the hotel wins so many awards - it is a really superb location for a break and so well managed.
It seems to be very popular for weddings - there were 3 while we were there - but we were only barely aware of them due to the layout of the complex and location of the function rooms.
We are already looking forward to going again very soon.

Room Tip: Rossnowlagh beach nearby ( 15 mins by car ) where we spent most of our time is a lovely spot. We had...

Dear Terry,

It was my personal pleasure to extend a warm Donegal welcome to you. Thank you for making a return visit. It makes me happy to know that our Team continue to deliver excellence in hotel keeping and hospitality. I am also delighted that you like our new Seafood Bar & Grill,'Harveys' and the Cabaret which has been receiving fantastic reviews this year.

While the hotel can be busy at weekends for weddings, we are fortunate that our Banqueting Suite is located away from the bedrooms, thus ensuring a good night's rest for our valued leisure guests.

There are indeed many beautiful beaches nearby, Rossnowlagh being a firm favourite with locals and tourists alike.

On behalf of the Gysling Family, Noel our GM and the entire Team, thank you for your lovely compliments which are very much appreciated.

We look forward to having you as our guest again sometime soon.

Kindest personal regards,

Deirdre

Had the pleasure of staying here for one night in July. It was a Sunday so the Hotel was lovely and quiet, really relaxed. We were also lucky enough to receive a free room upgrade to the fabulous Penthouse Suite.
We ate in the Seafood and Grill bar that evening and the food was superb and reasonably priced for a 4 Star Hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout.
The Hotels setting is stunning, the Lough was beautiful and glistening with the sun. The quiet and peaceful location would definately attract me to stay again. It was 26 degrees the day we left and the reception staff gave us chilled mineral water for our drive home, the little things like this make all the difference.

Room Tip: All the rooms are well sized, our room was towards the back of the Hotel looking over the lawns rath...

We stayed at Harvey's Point Hotel for the second time at the beginning of July, and it lived up once again to everything we expected of it. The Greeting on arrival from Sean was warm and welcoming and set the tone of our three night stay very well. We stayed in one of the newly refurbished Lough Shore Suites, to have the private balcony with the weather being so amazing was bliss. We did the Loop walk on our second day and on the hottest day of the year to date we decided to do the walk of the Lough approx. 12.5 miles, that burnt up all the calories from breakfast and allowed us to enjoy the Cabaret Dinner in the evening. The food as always was excellent and the craic and entertainment top notch. We left Harvey's Point after our three night visit refreshed and revitalised and felt our money was well spent . We look forward to returning.

Dear Caroline,

We were delighted to welcome you back to Harvey's Point again and thank you for your super review. It is rewarding to know that we live up to expectations and our own standards on each occasion. The walk around Lough Eske is a long one in any weather so well done on doing it in the heat.

It will be our pleasure to welcome you back again soon.

Great spot. Rooms massive, nice atmosphere, good grub and a very nice experience all round.
You won't be dissapointed. We are looking out for some super deal to turn up so we can visit again with our baby asap. We couldn't afford regular visits, although, if we lived near by, we would visit for dinner and drinks.
Good spot. Book it and enjoy.

My husband and I have just returned from a simply wonderful 3 night break at Harvey's Point Hotel, Donegal. Absolutely breath taking views, super large bedroom with en suite bathroom, dressing room and even a little kitchen area with a proper sized fridge full of all sorts of drinks, tea and coffee facilities plus homemade chocolate chip cookies and fresh fruit. The King size bed was ultra comfortable. The food and service in both restaurants was fantastic the staff very well dressed, well mannered and friendly. Checking in and out at reception was very smoothly done and our room was ready when we arrived. Brendan took care of our bags and was a useful man to know, we were in Donegal for a fishing break and he was extremely helpful. Derek In the Lough Eske Fishery Office sorted us out with fishing permits and although the River Eske was very low because of the extremely warm weather we managed to catch five brown trout between us. We also spent a relaxing afternoon up a lake in the Donegal Hills. Staying at Harvey's Point was like stepping back in time it is a Hotel were you are really made feel welcome, hospitable staff, turf fires the smell of turf burning just hits you when you step out of your car in the carpark, the grounds are stunning and very well maintained we will certainly be returning again. Having wasted thousand of pounds going on foreign holidays which have been disasters it was really pleasant to find Harvey's Point just a two hour drive away from home.

Room Tip: All rooms are well appointed with exellent views of the Donegal Blue Stack Mountains or Lough Eske...

Dear Pauline,

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I recall chatting to you at breakfast and it was lovely to hear that you caught some fish on Lough Eske. Next time, our Chef will cook one for you if you wish.

It's fair to say that Ireland (and of course Donegal in particular) is a perfect destination for a memorable holiday in any weather but recent weeks have been exceptional.

We sincerely appreciate your kind words and high recommendation and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Greetings from Brendan and our entire Team.

Just returned from a two day break at Harvey's Point Hotel. It is 'Simply The Best' hotel we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. We were given a warm welcome by the Receptionist who very kindly told us that we had been given an upgrade to a Premium Suite which was a lovely surprise indeed. The room was exceptional, very spacious, furnishings were very luxurious and taseful, beautiful bathroom, dressing area etcwe.didn't want to leave it. Dined in both restaurants and the food was delicious. All the staff were very friendly, welcoming, down to earth and obviously worked in harmony as a team.
The views from the hotel and the grounds are very picturesque and relaxing.
All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable break and would highly recommend Harvey's Point and look forward to staying again in the future!!!
