Lovely family atmosphere without being intrusive. Would be a bit of a walk into town. Nice quite location.

We stayed for 2 nights in the Cove Lodge. Found a very cozy double room in a modern house with up to date facilities. Great Irish and/or continental breakfast. The hosts were very friendly and recommended pub/restaurants or places to visit.
A plus for us was the free wireless internet access.
The house is 3 km away from the Donegal Town centre which might be a minus for those who prefer to walk to dinners places or pubs.

My wife and I stayed here in July for 2 nights. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The B & B is only a few minutes drive from Donegal town. The breakfast was delicious every morning.

From the moment Joan opened the door to great us upon our arrival we were made to feel at home. Joan was always available to provide helpful hints for dining, sightseeing choices or just friendly chat. Our room was very pleasant and and exceptionally well taken care of. When we met Liam the second morning his personality matched right up with Joan. Their breakfasts, whether you had the Irish breakfast or opted for something else, were very well prepared and presented. During our travels over many years we have stayed in a lot of bed and breakfast and the Cove Lodge ranks with the best.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent

As promised, here's my comment.
We went through Donegal during our trip in Ireland and Northern Ireland. With my parents and best friend, we enjoyed this place. The B&B was lovely, and the breakfast delicious.
Thanks Joan and Liam.
Cheers from France.

This modern home sits across from a beautiful inlet and is convenient to Donegal town. Though it’s next to the main road into town we heard no traffic noise, and instead enjoyed the quiet countryside and curious cows on the adjacent farm. Our friendly, personable host made us feel right at home and gave very helpful tips on restaurants and places to visit nearby. Our lovely room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with particularly good brown bread. Overall, an excellent value!
