A great days outting. It was a really great history lesson the tour was great and being able to go back round at your own leisure was good. Staff was very nice and helpful. Was great that they had wheelchairs available if you needed one. Not to mention the great tea or coffee snack you get all included in the price.

We visited the Irish Famine Village recently with two friends. We had been there once before but this was the first time for our friends. We found Pat (the tour guide) so enthusiastic and informative. You could see he was passionate about what he does and gave us a full and interesting talk in an unbiased manner. We were only there for a short time but will certainly be back when we hope to spend more time. Another bonus to the trip was the cuppa afterwards and the friendly "banter" with Pat's sister Majella. Well done to all involved - a truly worthwhile visit. Would thoroughly recommend it.

Well off of the beaten track on the way to Malin head, the Famine Village is a tasteful reconstruction of a period famine village mixed with a potted history of Ireland including the recent financial troubles.
