We asked at the market for a recommendation of a good place where locals might eat. It took the shop person a while to consult with someone else before they came up with Clancy's which was right up the street. The pub/dining room is done in wood and leather in English style and looks expensive but really wasn't (by Irish standards). I can't say the food was memorable but it was good (all Irish food is bland) but the soup was tasty with the traditional brown bread and the fried cod was...fried cod. Service was good and the portions and food were ok. But if you are at the old English market, it is close by and a pleasant experience for lunch.
