“Very pleasant Heritage Pub”
Reviewed July 25, 2014 via mobile

Opposite the old Beamish Brewery, this pub oozes charm and atmosphere and is one of Cork's Heritage Pubs. Inside is immaculate with candles in bottles on tables and there is a very small sitting area at the front for a few people when the weather is fine.

“Probably my favourite bar in cork ”
Reviewed May 31, 2014 via mobile

The oval beer is an old traditional
style bar which the have mixed with the modern events of the craft beers and indie music policy

As it's a relatively small bar you need to get in early to get a seat, Saturday night is typically the busiest night, so try to get in on another night to really enjoy this bar.

It's about as hipster gets ;)... but it looses that feel at the weekends when it becomes more crowded.

“Good vibe, great beer”
Reviewed May 30, 2014 via mobile

Great place to catch up with friends over very good craft and local beers, including the ubiquitous Murphy's (better than Guinness in Cork, obviously!). Quite a kooky place, lots of nooks and crannies...but table service helps not spill anything! Very friendly, chilled out bar.

“Laid back traditional pub”
Reviewed May 1, 2014

This is a really nice pub, very laid back atmosphere, quite traditional but quirky at the same time, offers all types of craft beers, the tables are all candle lit in the evening, there's a lovely fire on, good music, very chilled out.

“Genuine indie bar in Cork”
Reviewed April 22, 2014

It's not easy to find it even though it is in a central location, but it's worth the visit. Extensive selection of beers, indie music and honest service. Great atmosphere. All you need for a relaxing night out in Cork. Will certainly go back.
