Description: The Workshop is a local family business run by brothers Aiden and David. Our menu is very simple, for breakfast we serve, Organic Porridge with fruit compote, French Toast and Bacon and Scrambled eggs and Bacon. Our Lunch menu consists of gourmet sandwiches, soups, daily hot specials and our Tapas Salad. If your looking for something sweet you've come to the right place, we have a fantastic selection of desserts available daily. We have a large selection of teas, use fantastic Badger and Dodo coffee, and a variety of specialty drinks from Mochas to Oreo Milkshakes. We try to keep things as local as possible with most of our suppliers found here in Cork. We aspire to echo the service of the good old days and so we serve our tea in vintage fine bone china. We have aslo taken a backwards approach to the phrase "out with the old in with the new" in that you'll find the furniture found within the premises is either Antique, Vintage or Up-cyclyed.

Really cool place for tea/ coffee and cake or a really lovely lunch. Quirky place with great food, great music and really friendly service. If the weather is nice you can sit outside, watch the chickens or watch the planes fly overhead. I go there every time I'm in Cork. They also do take away if you're stuck for time.

Nice food for lunch - variety of sandwiches, soups and salads, as well as a huge selection of cakes, sweet treats, flavoured teas and coffees.

Quirky cafe with homemade everything. Great staff and changeable menu but can't go wrong with the delicious soups and sandwiches. Great desserts as well.

If your heading in the airport direction a stop by this cafe is a must. Shabby chic and quaint are 2 words to describe this little gem. Food is really good with a varied soup/sandwich menu, tea & coffee served in china cups, a world away from the hustle of the city. Staff are a credit to the business and couldn't have been more helpful and genuinely nice.

The Workshop is quite a unique cafe. It is set in a comfortable quaint tea room . However, seating and parking are limited and consequently it is not the ideal place to go at peak times of the day or year. The breakfast and lunch dishes are of a high quality but be prepared to wait!!!
Tables are served one by one in order of the time of arrival. So, anyone just having a coffee and cake may have to wait 30 minutes or more to get their easily prepared order. A refill can take an age depending on how far back you go in the queue again.
I am not prepared to spend that amount of time waiting for a simple morning snack when there are several other excellent cafes in the area who serve delicious food to satisfied regular customers.
