Description: The Workshop is a local family business run by brothers Aiden and David. Our menu is very simple, for breakfast we serve, Organic Porridge with fruit compote, French Toast and Bacon and Scrambled eggs and Bacon. Our Lunch menu consists of gourmet sandwiches, soups, daily hot specials and our Tapas Salad. If your looking for something sweet you've come to the right place, we have a fantastic selection of desserts available daily. We have a large selection of teas, use fantastic Badger and Dodo coffee, and a variety of specialty drinks from Mochas to Oreo Milkshakes. We try to keep things as local as possible with most of our suppliers found here in Cork. We aspire to echo the service of the good old days and so we serve our tea in vintage fine bone china. We have aslo taken a backwards approach to the phrase "out with the old in with the new" in that you'll find the furniture found within the premises is either Antique, Vintage or Up-cyclyed.

Had a lovely time here. It's a very pretty shop with lots of interesting quirks. The food was delicious, the coffee was really nice and the staff were extremely friendly. Makes for a really nice afternoon.
Got a little bit lost, but the pink bikes along the way helped us to find it!

To start with, the pink bicycles as sign posts are so unique and intriguing. Follow the pink bikes to your destination, a hidden treasure in Ballygarvan. When we arrived, there was a fine big Car Park. My son (6) was immediately drawn to the hens which we found out later from one of the owners, are prize winning hens entered in shows all over Ireland. One in particular will be representing Cork soon! They live in lovely wooden houses built by a local man. And this community feeling was the theme for the remainder of our visit, from the building itself which used to be the owners Fathers carpentry workshop, to the local artisan produce, and re cycled/up cycled furnishings, and antiques for sale. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff were a pleasure to deal with. This is a really quirky place to visit with fantastic food and great coffee and much more for sale than your grub from locally produced jars of jam to old vinyl records. The menu includes but not limited to soups, sandwiches, salads, handmade cakes and tarts, scones, hot choc, ice cream, and much more. My tapas style salad included a caramelised red onion relish, grated cheddar cheese, pesto, mayo, chicken breast, lettuce, sundried tomatoes, goats cheese and Arbutis bread. Very tasty, perfect portion size and reasonably priced. Indoor and outdoor seating for all weather events, this is a must visit.
And happy first birthday to The Workshop

I am living in the city centre and would drive the length the county for the great service, atmosphere, food and beautiful coffee if the workshop was elsewhere. It is a new ritual at the weekend to go in for lunch. Hats off to the owners and staff.
Very rare you go to a place were every kid is smiling at a table. Very family orientated and great for a catch up with friends.

If you're looking for great coffee, great food and great atmosphere you won't find better than this little gem hidden away in Ballygarvan! Not too far from the city.. Worth the extra ten minutes drive (let's be honest you'll happily spend that time parking and queuing for costa!) Recommend the coffee cake while you sit, chill and enjoy the experience while listening to the beach boys. Much appreciated to have this little treasure only minutes away from the airport. Yay!
