Description: The Workshop is a local family business run by brothers Aiden and David. Our menu is very simple, for breakfast we serve, Organic Porridge with fruit compote, French Toast and Bacon and Scrambled eggs and Bacon. Our Lunch menu consists of gourmet sandwiches, soups, a hot special of the day and our Tapas Salad. If your looking for something sweet you've come to the right place, we have a fantastic selection of desserts available daily. We have a large selection of teas, use fantastic Badger and Dodo coffee, and a variety of specialty drinks from Mochas to Oreo Milkshakes. We try to keep things as local as possible with most of our suppliers found here in Cork. We aspire to echo the service of the good old days and so we serve our tea in vintage fine bone china. We have aslo taken a backwards approach to the phrase "out with the old in with the new" in that you'll find the furniture found within the premises is either Antique, Vintage or Up-cyclyed.

“You have to visit this place”
Reviewed April 1, 2014

Heard about this place and was curious to see if the recommendations were deserved and I'm glad to say the Workshop exceeded my expectations. The Workshop is a real unique, friendly, one of a kind establishment. It's full of quarky bric-n-brac that you could spend all day admiring. Food was excellent; fresh, good choice and priced well. Only downside is that it's a bit too far from where I live so unfortunately I won't be able to visit daily because this is the type of establishment would become your "local cafe!". Go visit it, you won't be disappointed.

“"Charming & sweet"”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

We recently had an afternoon coffee, cake(lemon) and some of the amazing home made lemonades. The workshop is very homely, the staff are very friendly and they talk to you about whats on the menu. The place is amazing with all the old items & trinkets and you can even sing along with Judy Garland who is playing in the background.

“Friendliest staff & a great birthday lunch”
Reviewed March 30, 2014 via mobile

Arrived with adults & children for my birthday. They looked after each & everyone of us so well. The children had plenty to keep them entertained so we were able to enjoy our lunch even more. The food was so tasty & the presentation even better. We'll defo be going back there. Highly recommended by all the family.

“A Gem”
Reviewed March 21, 2014

The Workshop is one of my favourite places to go to with friends or family. But my favourite times there is on my own, when I need space and time to think at the end of a hard day. The two owners will either chat to you if you want, or leave you alone to read in peace. The stove lends a wonderful warmth to a really quirky room, with almost everything for sale, including the chair that you will sit on! I really recommend a visit. Oh yes! The food is wonderful too!
