“Tasty and Fresh food”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

Been here a couple of times now and food is lovely each time. Theres a nice atmosphere and plenty to look at as you sit and dine - theres Meadows and Byrnes, a large gardening section and an outdoors eating area which is very relaxing. Be warned there is a hen wandering around outside - which I quite like but my friend is afraid of birds and could not handle the hen walking in amongst the tables and feet.
Lunch is ranged from sandwiches, soups, specials such as quiches and tarts, caters for coeliacs with gluten free breads and cakes - and finally the most wonderful cakes and desserts.

“New restaurant at last”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

Went to Ballyseedy last Monday and was delighted to see the restaurant has changed hands.
The selection was vast but it was not quite lunch time yet so I only had the sausage roll.
Boy I'm glad I did it was the most delicious thing I've ever tasted.
Sitting outside in the sun we enjoyed the company of a hen pecking around our feet as we sipped our coffee.
Cant wait to go back this time for lunch keep up the good work.

Ballyseedy, what a wonderful place to relax, Meadows & Byrnes, Garden Centre and the most wonderful food at Bakestone. Not only the food, the menu constantly changes and the most wonderful attentive staff look after you. It's just like visiting old friends and you come away not only full from the generous portions and amazing quality food, but looking forward to going back again to see what will be new nextime.

“Tasty and nutritious lunch venue”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

Surrounded by gorgeous displays of home store products and elegant clothes on one side and, through the huge glass walls, the wonderful plants of the garden centre, you can dine on healthy, locally produced foods and freshly baked breads and cakes. The friendly and courteous staff serve a great variety of breakfast and lunch choices. This place is perfect for a lazy lunch after browsing through the various shops.

“Delicious fresh food, beautiful setting and there was Jazz!”
Reviewed May 28, 2013 via mobile

Tried the new cafe Bakestone at Ballyseedy Garden Centre in Fota recently for lunch and we were not disappointed. The food was divine. Fresh unique salads served with the nicest of breads.
Great selection of cakes that were sinful but we ordered a small portion which I thought was a great idea! The salt and pepper was a bit too exposed for me and raised hygiene concerns. Little problem, easily fixed. It was Sunday and there was live Jazz, it was great. Can't wait to see what's on the menu for the next visit. The garden needs attention very soon as do I need some more "lovin from the oven" Great work Bakestone.
