We were standing at the MacCurtain street stop ready to buy a tour and the bus just drove right by. The bus only comes by every 45 minutes so it is not very convenient for hop on/hop off. 14 Euro is a bit pricey, there is not that much to see and the entire route listed can can be walked in a relatively short time. You have lost our business for life.

It was a lovely hour spent, the kids really enjoyed it, and we learned a few things about the city (which we were educated in) that we did not know. If we were better organised, we would have stopped at the Cork City Gaol, and done the tour there, but we'll know better the next time. We had a very humourous bus driver, which added to the experience.

When visiting a city I always try a do a bus tour and unfortunately this one was a let down. Ticket only valid for one day, whereas most cities now offer a two day option for less money. The driver was great and gave some amusing additions to the pre recorded guide. However, bus only runes at one and a half hour intervals. It does take you to some very ugly looking areas. Must say Cork council do need to spend money on a clean up. Double decker bus is far to big to negotiate the narrow winding streets. A smaller vehicle could have given a more personalised tour and have been able to stop at more points of interest.

It's a chance to learn some history and gain an overview of the city. It's an opportunity to relax for an hour and take in the sights.
