Stayed with family members, Had no trouble finding it, but was surprised to find we were not staying in the Main house but round the corner in self catering rooms. Everything is there for you if you wish to cook for yourself, and a comfortable tv lounge to sit in if you wish. It also has a washing machine which if you were staying for a longer period of time would be very useful. On arrival we were served tea and scones, a nice surprise. T he staff we more than friendly. The only faults i found were the cleanliness, there was a lot of dust on the chairs, pictures, and skirting boards, also, the poor availability of plugs in the room, there were none near the mirror which made it impossible to use a hair dryer or styling brush, but having said that i would stay again if I was to visit Cork

Opposite the Universtity, this B&B is like Cork's little shamrock anchor.
Lovely hosts and incredibly helpful staff, made our stay incredibly memorable and had set the bar high for all my future accommodation proprietors.
The breakfast amazing and the afternoon tea divine, Irish hospitality could not be epitomised to a greater magnitude.

Delightful B&B. we were greeted with the famous afternoon tea (this is a meal in itself!). The room was large and very clean (3 of us shared), beds and bedding were great. Breakfast, as everyone has said already is amazing, they serve enough food for a week! We had the delicious house porridge to start, followed by Irish breakfast, followed by apple pancakes....now need to roll me out of here.
The location is great, across from UCC and right by the river, 15 minute walk into town.
Couldn't recommend this place enough.

We initially had some difficulty finding Garish House because the directions were rather vague. We had to resort to the Tourist Information Centre in town to put us on the right track. However, the welcoming afternoon tea we received on arrival made up for that. We were then provided with some useful information from the man who greeted us - unfortunately he didn't share his name or his position. I understand from other reviews he is the manager and is named Marcel. Their garden setting was just perfect in the lovely summer weather being enjoyed in Ireland at that time. The breakfast menu was extremely comprehensive and I can still remember the size of the omelette I ordered! Johanna very kindly gave us some scones to take with us on our trip when we left. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the B&B very centrally situated. I guess my only disappointment came later when I realised I had left some belongings behind - although I attempted to make contact by email, I did not receive a response.

We arrived at Garnish house after driving (on the left ahh!) from Kilkenny which was about a 2 hr + drive. After being lost and exhausted, we were greeted by a friendly staff member, Marcel. He was extremely kind and welcoming. We were offered complimentary tea, biscuits, and bread. He also pointed out some good night spots for us to enjoy a pint. He showed us our room and then graciously gave us our tea. Our room was large, big bathroom, queen and full bed, and sofa. The BB was in walking distance to many of the pubs. Our breakfast here was fantastic! Literally, the best apple and cinnamon pancake I have ever had. Stay here, you won't be disappointed! Last suggestion is to make site you put GPS coordinates into your device as it will not come up on your google map app.

This was the best B&B we have stayed in in 30 years of travelling. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The only drawback being that, as it was the hottest weather in Ireland for years, we had to have the windows open at night and there was some road noise. Blame Mother Nature! The real marvel was the breakfast. A menu worthy of a five-star hotel and the food lived up to expectations. The service was excellent...quick and keen...and the patio setting amongst flowers was an added pleasure. Impressed is hardly strong enough a comment. We may go back to Cork just to stay there again.

Room Tip: If its hot, ask for a "back" room. But this is not a problerm usually encountered in Irel...

We were welcomed to Garnish House by Mercel, the charming and extremely helpful manager, who checked us in and directed us to our room in the extension across the road. After depositing our luggage, we returned to the lovely garden in the main house for tea and scones. We had a suite for 3 - bedroom, bathroom, and livingroom with sofabed and kitchenette, which was quite comfortable. And the breakfast was out of this world. There was a buffet plus as many hot dishes as we could devour. Johanna, the owner, and her staff made our two breakfasts events to remember. The guesthouse is located across the street from the college, and we enjoyed strolling through the grounds there.
