“Brilliant Atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2013

Came here for a few drinks because we heard it was a good spot. Ended up having a great night in Plunkett's thanks to the amazing band they had playing there (Ruby and the Nighthawks) and the brilliant atmosphere. Drinks were reasonable, enough room in front of the band for a dance if you wanted to and a there was a smoking area out the back too. Very close to Patrick Street too. What would bring me back is their music scene and the chilled atmosphere.

“Pleasant place, average food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2012

I've been in Oliver Plunkett several times, but I had never eat there. I decided to order a fish & chips dish, and in my opinion the meal offer is limited and is very expensive for the amount of food they provide. In other pubs in Cork, I found the fish and chips more tasty and the dishes were much bigger.

“Open space”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2012

Popped in for one on the famous OP location. Live music, open space, and indoor smoking area, it was a nice find but very busy. The ladies love to dress up in the high platform heels and short dresses. Not sure why as most people were casual and for socialising.. So left after two as felt out of place! Maybe better mid week!

“Good early evening entertainment!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012 via mobile

Enjoyed an evening at this pub and restaurant last weekend. Free trad music in a warm casual atmosphere. Regular pub grub nothing exciting but served with a warm smile great to receive on a cold winters evening! Good place to come with young people as the music finishes by 7.30. Will call again if visiting cork.
