Hotel Isaacs is situated in the centre of Cork on a busy road but this means that it is well situated for visit in the city. The secured car par is some distance from the hotel and could present problems for people with restricted mobility getting to and from their car. You will also need to brush up on your hill starts as the one way system from the car par throws you onto a very severe 'hill start' junction.
The hotel was clean but needs a lick of paint on a few worn corners. The receoption staff were a little aloof but efficient. The food in the hotel restaraunt was good but a little heavy on the potatoes, mashed potato garnished with crisps (chips) served with a dish of boiled potato was over the top. Breakfast was good but the bacon was a bit tasteless. The Isaacs restaraubt next door is a much better place to eat - full of life and very tasty food.
If you want a city centre hotel at the right price Isaacs is OK..
