Stayed here for two nights. This was my second trip to Cork as I love this beautiful city.

Location is very good just across the bridge from the main centre of Cork. Good choice of bars around the hotel. The waterfall in the hotel courtyard is a lovely feature.

Room was a good size with an ironing board and very comfortable bed. Room overlooked the front of the hotel but was still very quiet. Hotel staff very friendly.

My friend stayed in a lovely onsite apartment which I would recommend if there are a group of you.

Taxi ride less than half an hour from the airport for17 Euro.

Staff and location are great; restaurant has excellent reputation among locals; OK value for money.
Negatives: my particular room was very loud. Among other sources of noise, the chef is one of those people who want to attract even negative attention by driving a super-loud motorcycle (so you'll hear him arriving and departing - actually you'll literally FEEL the building shake from this tool of compensation).
Room smelled - not bad but of something odd... took some getting used to but no big problem.
Water pressure OK, but faucets were those odd stubby separate hot and cold type that assume you'll fill the basin to get warm water (if there were a plug).
Pillows flat.

Stayed here for 3 nights and was very impressed, staff were friendly and helpful, room was big and nicely maintained. Beds were very comfortable. However the lift was a bit small, felt like climbing in too a phone box! I didn't eat at the hotel restaurant but it seemed really nice, the waterfall was a nice touch. The best thing however was the location, on your doorstep are a good selection of pubs and you are literally five minutes walk from the center of town. Everyone in the area is very friendly even the local tramps were very amusing and happily singing away some old Irish tunes. Getting a taxi back to the airport in the morning was also very easy with the taxi service right next door,it arrived in seconds. The airport is approx 15 mins away at a cost 15 euros. All in all very impressed and would stay again.

Sadly it rained the entire time we were in Cork but luckily we had this great hotel to hide away in. It had a great view to the outside garden and great cafe/bar inside.

The hotel is a little order, elevator was tiny and didn't seem like it was going to make it to our floor however rooms were huge and very nice.

The hotel was right in the middle of town within walking distance to everything. Overall we had a great stay!

This hotel was suggested to me due to it's location being close to where I needed to be on the following day. It was described as an older hotel but perfectly clean and comfortable. My impression was a long way off this, my room was small, hot, and depressingly decorated. It was shabby and clearly in need of some paint, the window sills had the wood showing through. The bathroom needed a good systemic clean of the tiles and bath/shower surround.
The parking is not on site and so you will need to bear this in mind, it is some 300 metres away in a church locked compound.
For me the most annoying aspect was the charge for using Wifi which showed as being included in the room, it wasn't. Although I was offered a 20 minute voucher, but then you have to spend that time registering with the Internet provider. So the urgent emails were not completed.
The Restaurant attached to Isaacs called "Greens" provided an excellent friendly service, but watch out for extras eg Water and if your on an early saver meal, Cappucino at an extra €1
In contrast the staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful, but the hotel really was a dissappointment for me.

Try the Sin E pub which if you turn right from the hotel & walk down the street & past the off licence on your right & just down the street on your left is a fab place for music on a Sunday evening. We were also told about Crane/Crake? Lane but didn't get there, there is live music every night of the week.

The place is ace. If you want somewhere cheap to stay which is comfortable and like being at home then Isaac's Apartments are the right place for you!

Prior to arrival we'd booked the 3 bed apartment which was on the top floor. My partner & I had bagsy'd the single beds - the married couple in the group got a double bed but it was a tad smaller than a double but they said it was ok for them. The other couple got the other room which had a double and a single in there. The living room was huge with a kitchen on the end with dishwasher which we didn't use as we were out all the time.

The cleaners had left the heat on so when we got back the apartment was boiling but we just opened a few windows & it soon cooled.

Being on the top floor we could hear the waterfall at the side of the hotel part (which is switched off at 11pm & turned on around 8am so if you're a light sleeper take earplugs).

The hotel was clean & tidy with no noise whatsoever and while we were out on the 2nd day the room was cleaned again which was lovely.

I can definately recommend the apartments & i am very very picky!!!!!!!!!!
