“Always good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2012

This has to be my favourite restaurant in Ireland. I've eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. It's a cosy place with quite an extensive menu, vegetarian, meat and fish always offered. It also has a good range of wine and a lovely choice of desserts. Service is usually attentive and the vibe is relaxed and intimate.
I've taken many guests here over the past few years, who are usually very impressed.
The location is to the west of Cork city, abut 20 minutes' walk from the centre, or a short taxi ride; well worth checking out. You can usually get a table just by turning up but for busier times booking is probably advised.

“Lovely lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2012 via mobile

Went for lunch to Annie's recently. Group of twelve. Had the Blt ciabatta. Was lovely but included pesto which I don't like too much. Hand cut chips were to die for but portion was small. Everyone crowding around the blackboard is sooo not a good idea. People like to mull over a menu. All in all very nice and would definitely go back.

“a dining experience not to be missed!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2012

Visiting Cork from Waterford I had to write a review for this fantastic dining experience enjoyed by a group of 8 adults. Annies is a unique spot with a relaxed atmosphere but also perfect for a special occassion as was ours, a 60th bday. Before I mention the food I must comment on the menu which was inside the door written on a giant blackboard which i taught was very old school loved it! We went for the early bird menu which gave excellent choice and something for every taste. Before we started we got a selection of breads and dips to keep us happy which was a pleasant surprise these days...I started with the liver pate and beetroof on a toasted bread which was just amazing and in keeping with the theme was served on a bread board, for main I went for the melt in your mouth sea bass cooked to perfection and served with plenty of fresh veg but to finish on a lemon tart was a dream come through....in my opinion you need to pay this place a visit. Great food, great value for money, great atmosphere how could you go wrong! We also tried the prosecco for the birthday toast which was one of the best I have ever tasted if you want a treat it was well worth it.

“Nice restaurant to stumble across”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2012

Got this recommended by the receptionist at the Hotel while working in Cork on business.
For a Wednesday it was really busy and fortunate to get a table, but they can always find room for a billy nomates on business. Had the Seabass fillet with a selection of fresh veg and potatoes, the fish was cooked to perfection and the taste was excellent and certainly hit my taste buds, there was a good selection of beerrs and of course guiness would go back to Annies without hesitation and if i ever go to cork with my better half for a weekend break would go there for a romantic evening out. Kep up the good work.
