Owner description: One of Cork's most prominent landmarks, you can enjoy the unique experience of ringing the original 18th Century Church bells, view the mechanism of the famous four faced liar clock, climb the tower to experience spectacular views of Cork City and beyond and visit the beautiful interior of St, Anne's church, one of Cork's oldest buildings.

A great climb up to the top of the Church. I enjoyed ringing the bells on the lower floor - there is a music sheet for those who would like to have a go. The last few floors aren't for the faint hearted though! Ladders and quiet narrow staircases await.

It is great, you get to walk all the way up the tower by yourself, unsupervised. You can ring the bells half we up, we played Happy Birthday and Nearer My God to Thee (which didn't sound anything like it with our rhythm). You also sort of climb right by the bells when people are ringing them downstairs (you have to wear sound blocking headphones), and it's all very fun. Great view too. 5 euro well spent!

This is one of the best attractions in Cork. You can climb the tower, see how the clock and the bells work, see a wonderful panorama of all the city and, best of all, play the bells!
You have ropes to pull, each one with a number for a different note, and you can also find songs to play: it's not hard and very funny!
And all in perfect safety: you are given ear protectors at the entrance.
You just have to know that the stairs are narrow and you can meet pigeons.
Worth more than a visit!

How can anyone rate this as average? Where else in the world can the general public ring church bells? How the people in this neighborhood tolerate all the bell ringing, I don’t know – but we had a delightful time ringing them. We are three people in our 60’s and thoroughly enjoyed the bell ringing (we just played one song, but it was tempting to play more) and then a further climb, and I do mean climb (there is a ladder at one point) and a fight with a pigeon up to the top to enjoy the views of the city. There were beautiful pendants strung from the top of the tower which we found out were only temporary. They were made by local school children and made for a very colorful and interesting display. The people were friendly and obviously very proud of this historic landmark.
