While I understand some of the comments that this hotel is a little bland, I think it us worth remembering that as an airport hotel (as opposed to a tourist hotel) its main function is as a stop-over rather than as a destination in itself.
The main thing I look for in an airport hotel is closeness to the airport itself, and for the Park Inn scores marvellously! It is a five minute walk from the departures gate and actually closer than the car rental drop off! There is a free shuttle to the hotel but unless it is raining or you have 30kg of luggage it is not normally needed.
The rooms themselves are basic but clean and comfortable, and the restaurant is fine. Staff are friendly (well this is Ireland after all!). As Cork is a small airport there is in fact little disturbance from aircraft noise. Being on the airport complex the road connections are good and there is a frequent shuttle bus from the airport to the town.
As a no nonsense stop-over this is a fine hotel.More
