My wife and I recently stayed in Hayfield Manor Hotel for our wedding anniversary. Knowing that it was situated right near the city centre we were amazed when we drove up the tree lined driveway to a beautiful Country House Hotel. We were met by the doorman Louis and promptly checked in at reception by a very helpful and friendly receptionist Jane, who explained all about the hotel and made our spa treatment bookings very efficiently.
We were shown to our room by Louis and what a room it was, overlooking the gardens, it was spacious, yet very homely. We went to the bar for an early relaxing drink, you just felt a sense of peace, rarely found in most hotel bars these days. The two bar staff were efficient and friendly and served us some beautiful finger food, which complimented our drinks perfectly.
Then a small stroll around the gardens, which even has its own aviary, the birds seemed as happy as we were. We had dinner in Perrotts the first night, a Bistro that is perfect in every way. The service was excellent and the food top notch! Breakfast was amazing, the best Egg Benedict in Ireland. We went out on our second night and had dinner in town.
We left Hayfield Manor relaxed, refreshed and ready for the world, I highly recommend it in every way.More
