We went to the Ambassador some years ago and didn't think it was up to much frankly.
They have pulled up their socks since then though - big time.
The staff were, without exception, friendly, polite and helpful. Our room was one of the newly renovated ones (perhaps one should ask specifically for this when booking actually) and was really gorgeous - very very spacious, junior suite size really, huge bathroom, huge comfortable bed, flat screen tv, free standing mahogony wardrobe, proper hairdryer, not one of those irritating cream ones on a phone wire that you have to keep your finger pushed down on - you know the ones right? ugh...
We didn't have the breakfast, but I heard from others in our party that the food was good so all in all I recommend.
Good price too:)
