Stayed a night here recently and found this lovely old house to be two quite separate entities; reception area warm and cosy with great character and the bedrooms and bar side of things efficient and slick. The food in the bar was absolutely first-class with lovely staff. My bedroom was welcoming with very plush decor. I found the spa to be slightly claustraphobic as it was very dark (probably just me) but a lovely space nevertheless. Breakfast was really excellent and beautifully displayed with the main part freshly cooked and brought to the table - a nice touch. I very much enjoyed relaxing here and felt very welcome.

We stayed at the Maryborough on a recent family visit. My daughter and family live in Douglas and we stayed at the hotel as a birthday treat for me and to see our granddaughter on her first birthday. The hotel staff were very efficient and friendly from Triona on reception to Kitty serving the wonderful Irish Traditional Breakfast. We had wonderful meals in the dining room and bar and must make mention of both the head waiters who treated us with warmth and interest. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It is a place that we will return to, probably with friends.

We stayed at the Maryborough for a night to get way from everything. We got great value for a lovely and comfortable spa room and were very well fed. From the moment we rang to enquire to the moment we left we were treated excellently. The staff are all very nice and appear to care for their work. Dinner in the bar and breakfast were really tasty. All in all - a super hotel. Highly recommended. Enjoy your visit!
