Stayed in hotel and highlight was the spa treatment - I went for a body wrap and it was amazing! A totally new level of relaxtion. Give yourself plenty of time to relax in the thermal suite and relaxation room.

Staff meet you at the reception with a warm friendly manner and were more than helpful with all my inquiries.
The Suite in which we stayed was wonderful (Old Charm) and had a great view over looking the grounds of the hotel.
We eat in the hotel on our first night and the dinner was outstanding from starters to dessert. The wine selection was good too. We were due to have dinner out in Cork City on the second night but our teenage daughter enjoyed the meal the first night so much that she wanted to have dinner at the hotel again which says alot. The only down side to the meals was that the restaurant was closed and you ate in the Bar area.
My daughter and I took full advantage of the pool and Gym which were very clean and well equipped.
We had a fabulous stay and we all look forword to going again in October.

Hotel grounds are lovely, and the room (ensuite) were clean, roomy and well presented. Staff were very friendly and polite. They were also very unintrusive and we felt at all times respected and welcome guests. Breakfast is amazing - great selection of fresh, tasty food in the buffet and on the menu. We also tried out the pool and sauna and left feeling relaxed and re-energised.
On the less positive side.. The hotel is quite warm and humid, because of the spa. Also we had dinner in the hotel, which didn't impress like breakfast did.

Stayed for two nights with our two childern. Reception staff very friendly and welcoming, Our room was very nice and comfortable, although we had to walk up three flights of stairs(no lift) very tiring for little legs) The pet farm was really nice and great for the kids. We ate in the restaurant , and waited 1hr and 40mins for our main meal. When it did arrive they had forgotton our daughters, then it arrived and was stone cold. The fire alarm went off at 2am but there was no one at reception when my husband went down, so we didnt know if it was a false alarm or not and the kids were awake for an hour after. We used the leisure centre, but there was wet dirty towels and empty water cups thrown around everywhere, very disappointing overall. On our second day we had lunch in the bar another wait of 45mins for 2 sandwiches!! Nice hotel but is being let down big time by the restaurant and leisure centre.

What can I say about this fantastic warm welcoming hotel. On arrival we were greeted by smart, smiling, helpful reception staff. I went with nine other members of my family for a wedding.and we took 5 rooms in the hotel and not one of them disappointed. There was ample space with a huge comfy bed with beautiful white crisp bedding on. The first night there we had an evening meal that came as part of the package. The selection of food was very good and it came to the table pipeing hot as did the breakfast the next morning. Definately recommend the full Irish breakfast especially the white pudding.
The wedding reception was held in the hotel and what a location. Again attentive waiting staff, excellent 4 course meal, followed later by warm buffet. Check out was fast and virtually painless as this hotel gives you value for money .

Excellent time and will definately be back.

My wife and I decided to stay at the Maryborough in Douglas for a night after attending a wedding a few miles away.

Firstly the staff were excellent, especially Mairead on reception who was very helpful. We were actually upgaded to an executive room which made all the difference.

Room service was first rate, very quick and everything served with a smile.

The staff really couldn't do any more to be more helpful and considerate. They really made the difference and are a credit to the hotel.

The breakfast menu is lovely, with everything cooked fresh - from the usual full Irish to Eggs Benedict / Florentine. Real orange juice too.

The rooms were very comfortable and very quiet at night. Beds are really comfy.

Only negative is that we only stayed one night. I suspect we'l be back!
