My wife and I stayed for one night. The staff were excellent. The ambiance was very welcoming. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.
We found the TV's to be old and small. The food was very good but the portions were small and the price for the amount one received was high.

The rooms were very worn and very warm at night. We had booked three rooms two of which were interconnecting. The door between the rooms was falling asunder, the shower made the bathroom floor a hazard, the window did not close correctly and there was water damage all over the wall (which must have been over a period of months). In the third room the carpet outside the bathroom was damp and smelt bad from being wet over a long period of time. Overall the rooms could do with a good revamp. I was disappointed in their standard for a 4*. One morning when we arrived at breakfast with our children we overheard the waitress tell her colleague that she hated children and that there were large groups expected in the breakfast room that morning – not what you want to hear from a place that pushes the “family friendly” aspect of their hotel.

Hotel clean receptionist very friendly on arrival rooms v clean well apponited & child friendly. Pool a little dirty. Spa fab therapist Sara gave an amazing massage & Amanda on spa reception super friendly & helpful. Food in bar very average not great choices for vegetarians. Pet farm very quaint. Overall a nice experience apart from being over charged on check out but it was rectified immediately

This USED to be a great hotel. Staff are unhelpful, arrogant and condescending. Was at a wedding recently and it was terrible. We were not made to feel at home and for the price that the bride and groom paid, they were absolutely ripped off.

We spent Aug 13-14--15 in the "newly remodeled" suits in the 'house'.
Old ,worn out, in need of repair, wall paper peeling, dirty furniture, broken furniture on and on....
High price, lousy service. no value.

Room Tip: go some where else

Myself & my fiancée stayed here for a night in July and we booked the Jacuzzi room (€190 for 2 people for 1 night inc breakfast) When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful lady on reception. The entrance itself didn't look much, but after the long walk down to our room (number 51) we were delighted when we opened the door and looked inside!

The jacuzzi was gorgeous, right at the end of the bed, with lighting behind it and some curtains to pull across, if needed. There were also two loungers on each side of the Jacuzzi to relax on. The only thing we were disappointed with in the room was the fact that there were no windows! It was a very warm day and between that and the steam from the Jacuzzi the room got very hot.

The hotel itself is nice, beautiful grounds around it, but we were very disappointed with the service in the restaurant. We went down to the bar for food on the Sat evening and we sat waiting......several waiters passed us without giving us a menu or asking us if we wanted drinks! We got annoyed in the end and went into a restaurant called Eco in the little town of Douglas instead-I would highly recommend it!

The next morning we had a similar problem in the hotel restaurant, we went down for breakfast and waited 35 mins for 2 Full Irish Breakfasts!

I would probably go back to the Maryborough again, but I would definitely NOT eat in the hotel bar/restaurant.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a window! (If they have any) ??

We attended a wedding yesterday at your hotel and was very disappointed the service at our table was very poor id to ask three times for a jug of water to be told well bring it when we have finished serving. In the end had to go to the bar for my own drink.
They came around with a second helping of beef when everyone had finished there dinner.
I got a cup with no handle for my coffee persume it was a sugar bowl. When I asked for a new cup he gave me a dirty used cup. Which was disgusting.
We had thought about having out wedding in your hotel but after yesterday definitely not and I would nt recommend it to anyone either.
There was nt even a floor manager come around to tables to ask were we ok?
When it came to tea s and coffee s later in the night they ran out of tea and coffee it too ten minutes for them to come back.
Id definitely give you hotel rating a very poor grade.
